FIDEL CASTRO DIES AND THE ALREADY LONG ROAD BEGINS.
The Cuban leader Fidel Castro has died at the age of 90. His brother, President Raúl Castro, has announced it in a speech on State television in the country.
“With profound pain appear to inform our people, friends of our America and the world that today November 25, 2016, to the 10.29 hours overnight died the Commander in Chief of the Cuban revolution Fidel Castro Ruz”, said Raúl Castro visibly moved.
The President added that the remains of the historic leader of the revolution will be cremated according to his “Express will” on the morning of the 26 Saturday in Cuba and that in the next few hours will be offered to the people “detailed information on the Organization of the posthumous homage that is will be taxed to him”. As it has advanced the news agency AFP, Fidel Castro’s funeral will be on December 4. The former Cuban President farewell ceremony will be held when they end the nine days of mourning which has decreed the Latin American country to pay tribute to Castro.
Cubans will pay tribute to the Commander from Monday in memorial Jose Marti of the Plaza of the revolution of Havana, where the cremated remains of Fidel will be deposited during two days.
In this emblematic plaza held a great tribute act until the ashes begin a journey across the island to Santiago de Cuba, in an itinerary that recalls “The caravan of freedom”, the reverse bearing the bearded Sierra Maestra followed when the revolution triumphed in January 1959.
In July 2006 it delegated its powers in Raúl Castro by his serious health condition, but four years later he reappeared with meetings with foreign visitors and analysis in the Cuban press.
The latest images of Fidel Castro are past November 15, when he received at his residence the President of Viet Nam, Tran Dai Quang. and the last time that he was seen at a public event was on 13 August, on the occasion of his 90th birthday at an event at Havana’s Karl Marx Theatre.
On that occasion Castro was seen with a frail, dressed in a track suit flanked by his brother Raul and the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro and white.
In April, at the 17TH Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, Fidel Castro also reappeared and gave a speech that sounded to bounce and which reaffirmed the strength of the ideas of the Communists.
“All our turn will reach us, but will be the ideas of the Cuban Communists, as proof that in this planet if you are working with fervor and dignity, can produce material and cultural goods that human beings need, and we must fight relentlessly to obtain them,” Castro said on that occasion.
Capable of pronouncing uninterrupted speeches for hours and hours, Fidel Castro left with his prolific speaking phrases for the history that marked the imaginary of the Cuban people and created a whole school of revolutionary rhetoric.
At the forefront of a revolution that put Cuba in the center of the international scene and a regime that has been prolonged 56 years, Castro was actor and survivor highlighted in the Board of the complex tensions of the second half of the 20TH century between socialism and capitalism, North and South and rich and poor.
Many leaders have already spoken about the death of Castro. Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela, has pointed out that “coming to the revolutionaries of the world continue with the legacy of Fidel”.

MUERE FIDEL CASTRO Y COMIENZA EL YA LARGO CAMINO.
El líder cubano Fidel Castro ha muerto a los 90 años de edad. Lo ha anunciado su hermano, el presidente Raúl Castro, en una intervención en la televisión estatal del país.
“Con profundo dolor comparezco para informarle a nuestro pueblo, a los amigos de nuestra América y del mundo que hoy 25 de noviembre del 2016, a las 10.29 horas de la noche falleció el comandante en jefe de la Revolución cubana Fidel Castro Ruz”, indicó Raúl Castro visiblemente emocionado.
El mandatario agregó que los restos del líder histórico de la Revolución serán cremados según su “voluntad expresa” en la mañana de este sábado 26 en Cuba y que en las próximas horas se ofrecerá al pueblo “información detallada sobre la organización del homenaje póstumo que se le tributará”. Según ha adelantado la agencia de noticias AFP, el funeral de Fidel Castro será el próximo 4 de diciembre. La ceremonia de despedida del expresidente cubano tendrá lugar cuando finalicen los nueve días de luto que ha decretado el país latinoamericano para homenajear a Castro.
Los cubanos podrán rendir homenaje al Comandante a partir del lunes en el memorial José Martí de la Plaza de la Revolución de La Habana, donde se depositarán durante dos días los restos incinerados de Fidel.
En esa emblemática plaza se celebrará un gran acto homenaje antes de que sus cenizas inicien un periplo por toda la isla hasta Santiago de Cuba, en un itinerario que rememora “La Caravana de la Libertad”, el rumbo inverso que los barbudos de Sierra Maestra siguieron cuando triunfó la Revolución, en enero de 1959.
En julio de 2006 delegó sus poderes en Raúl Castro por su grave estado de salud, pero cuatro años después reapareció con reuniones con visitantes extranjeros y análisis en la prensa cubana.
Las últimas imágenes de Fidel Castro son del pasado 15 de noviembre, cuando recibió en su residencia al presidente de Vietnam, Tran Dai Quang; y la última vez que se le vio en un acto público fue el pasado 13 de agosto, con motivo de su 90 cumpleaños en un acto en el teatro Karl Marx de La Habana.
En esa ocasión se vio a Castro con un aspecto frágil, vestido con un chándal blanco y flanqueado por su hermano Raúl y el presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
En abril, en el XVII Congreso del Partido Comunista de Cuba, Fidel Castro también reapareció y pronunció un discurso que sonó a despedida y en el que reafirmó la fortaleza de las ideas de los comunistas.
“A todos nos llegará nuestro turno, pero quedarán las ideas de los comunistas cubanos, como prueba de que en este planeta si se trabaja con fervor y dignidad, se pueden producir los bienes materiales y culturales que los seres humanos necesitan, y debemos luchar sin tregua para obtenerlos”, afirmó Castro en esa ocasión.
Capaz de pronunciar discursos ininterrumpidos durante horas y horas, Fidel Castro dejó con su prolífica oratoria frases para la historia que marcaron el imaginario de los cubanos y crearon toda una escuela de retórica revolucionaria.
Al frente de una revolución que puso a Cuba en el centro de la escena internacional y de un régimen que se ha prolongado 56 años, Castro fue actor y superviviente destacado en el tablero de las complejas tensiones de la segunda mitad del siglo XX entre socialismo y capitalismo, norte y sur, y ricos y pobres.
Muchos líderes se han pronunciado ya sobre la muerte de Castro. Nicolás Maduro, presidente de Venezuela, ha señalado que “nos toca a los revolucionarios del mundo seguir con el legado de Fidel”.
