SUPER EXITO MUSICAL “BAILANDO” PREMIADO ALREDEDOR DEL MUNDO, MENOS EN CUBA.
El super éxito musical “Bailando”, seleccionada Canción del Año en el Premio Grammy Latino 2014 y cuya versión oficial acumula más de 567 millones de visitas en Youtube, lidera todas las preferencias alrededor del mundo menos en Cuba, donde no pudo alzarse con el trofeo de video clip Más Popular de los últimos 12 meses.
En una decisión tan asombrosa como inexplicable, el tema interpretado por los cubanos Descemer Bueno y el grupo Gente de Zona y el cantautor español Enrique Iglesias, se vio derrotado en los Premios Lucas 2014, por la agrupación local Ángeles y su sencillo “Besando tu boca”.
Esta edición de los Lucas -establecidos hace 17 años para reconocer las mejores creaciones audiovisuales del panorama musical cubano- estuvieron cargados de polémica, incentivada por uno de sus triunfadores: el prealizador Ian Padrón, quien pidió que estos premios se revisen.
Según manifestó Padrón, quien se llevó la estatuilla al Mejor Video del Año, “no es normal que un video donde sus editores, fotógrafos y director no hayan sido premiados, obtenga este reconocimiento”.
Padrón alcanzó el galardón con el clip de la canción “Se bota a matar”, del dúo Buena Fejunto a las bailarinas del grupo Havana Queens.
Y si esa decisión del jurado no es entendible, tampoco lo es que una canción con poco más de 24 mil visitas en Youtube destrone a otra con más de 567 millones, pero al parecer la falta de conectividad a Internet en la isla también afecta a estos galardones.
Ni siquiera “Bailando” ganó en la categoría de Video Más Popular, entregado este año a Ángeles por “Besando tu boca”, de Manuel Ortega.
El video clip de “Bailando”, del cual se realizaron dos versiones, una para el mercado en español y otro para el mercado en inglés, fue dirigido por Alejandro Pérez, un reconocido creador cubano con amplia experiencia en la producción audiovisual, quien casi a modo de consuelo recibió cinco premios en la noche, de ellos uno solo por “Bailando” por Mejor Video Coreográfico.
En su discurso al recibir el reconocimiento en la gala del pasado sábado en el Teatro Karl Marx, Padrón exaltó a Pérez, porque “ha puesto el nombre de Cuba bien alto en todo el mundo”.
El concurso recibió más de 300 videos y tuvo como jurado a los periodistas Paquita de Armas, Michel Hernández y Yuris Nórido; los directores de televisión Frank Lage, Javier Orizondo y Marcos Castillo; el director de fotografía Raúl A. Rodríguez, la realizadora Elena Palacios y el sonidista Liván Magdaleno.
Fuera de Cuba, además del Premio a Canción del Año en el Grammy Latino, Iglesias, Gente de Zona y Descemer Bueno triunfaron en los acápites de Mejor Canción Urbana y Mejor Interpretación Urbana.
Tras el éxito comercial que ha representado el sencillo, Gente de Zona, una agrupación reguetonera residente en la isla, se ha abierto paso en el mercado de Estados Unidos, grabando featuring con artistas populares como Pitbull, y Chino y Nacho.
En estos momentos se encuentra de gira junto a Enrique Iglesias. Descemer tiene fijado un concierto en Miami en marzo del 2015.
