– September 2, 2014– Roundtable series gives entrepreneurs the unique chance to pitch to angels and venture capitalists while learning valuable tips from them.

The Soho Loft Media Group, Victoria Global and FundingPost will bring together a series of investor roundtables to span across four states. The series kicks off in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 21, 2014, to be followed in Las Vegas on August 27, Phoenix in September 4 and Miami on September 10.

The roundtables will be attended by respected venture capitalists and angels. They will coach attending early stage entrepreneurs on how to pitch to potential investors. The conferences provide a rare opportunity for participants to network with some of the country’s savviest early stage investors. The first 30 entrepreneur attendees to sign up will have the option to pitch their business idea in 1 minute or less in front of the investor panel, and instantly receive feedback as a group from the panel.

David Drake, CEO and Founder of the LDJ Capital, a private equity advisory firm, and the Soho Loft Media Group, an event – driven global financial media company, believes that supporting the growth of small and medium enterprises and startups is key to nation building. “Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as well as startups represent 85 percent of most nations’ job forces and so they are at the core of the nations’ economies,” says Drake. He further believes that providing them with access to capital is key to their growth.

Access is one thing, but entrepreneurs would also need to be savvy in attracting attention from early stage investors. Thus, the need to educate them on what investors are looking for is urgent. “We are committed to educate and promulgate programs and options available for policies and capital formations to accelerate our start ups. Education has always been the key.” adds Drake.

There are many ways entrepreneurs can raise capital for their businesses. At the onset, entrepreneurs will usually ask friends and family for financing while some will opt to bootstrap their company. However, as their businesses grow, or as they near late stage product development and early market entry, they would need additional funding and guidance on how to execute things properly.

This is where angels and venture capitalists come into the picture as they can provide the needed capital to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Aside from that, they can offer other forms of support, from managerial guidance to networking with potential investors. But angel investors and venture capitalists can be very picky when it comes to funding businesses. In fact, it is not unusual for them to invest only from 0.25 percent to 0.5 percent of the deals they encounter.

Joe Rubin, Director and Co–Founder of Fundingpost, one of the country’s leading investment network for entrepreneurs to find investors online, encourages entrepreneurs to learn how early investors think, for this the key. He said, “At the roundtable, the panel of investors will focus on the psychology of an early stage investor and what it really takes to get them to invest in you and your company.”

The series will feature distinct resource speakers from the industry at the panel at each of the four legs:
