BATON ROUGE – Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge announced the addition of four new providers to the team – Radhika Thorn, MD, in hematology/oncology, Arthur Kim, MD, in general surgery, Sumanth Reddy, DO, in radiology, and Alicia Augustine, MSN, RN, NP-C, in diabetes management.

Dr. Radhika Thorn is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. Thorn earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine in Richmond, Va. and completed a hematology oncology fellowship and internal medicine residency there as well. Thorn has extensive experience in clinical research and is actively involved in several professional organizations. She is seeing patients at Ochsner Health Center – O’Neal and Ochsner Health Center – Summa.

Dr. Kim is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the Korean National Board. Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, Ill. He completed his surgical residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn. and was previously the Department of Surgery Chair at Mayo Clinic Health System Austin Medical Center in Austin, Minn.  Kim is involved in research, presentations and visiting professorships. He is seeing patients at Ochsner Health Center – O’Neal, Ochsner Health Center – Summa and Ochsner Health Center – Iberville.

Alicia Augustine earned her bachelor of science in nursing degree from University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss. She completed a masters of science in nursing, family nurse practitioner (FNP) also at University of Southern Mississippi. Alicia is currently working toward a PhD in nursing education and administration from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss. with an anticipated graduation of 2017. Alicia is involved in a number of professional organizations including American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and she frequently participates in a number of community service opportunities. Alicia Augustine is seeing patients for diabetes management at Ochsner Health Center – O’Neal and Ochsner Health Center – Summa.

Dr. Reddy is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology. Reddy earned a bachelor of science degree in economics and biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and completed a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo. Reddy is a member of a number of professional organizations including American College of Radiology and American Osteopathic College of Radiology.
