Welcome to the July edition of Sew Thankful Sunday! Can you believe the year is half way over? I still have sew much to do! And there is sew much to be thankful for, too.

2. I love modern and I love dresdens and the two combined make for an awesome Modern Dresden Table Runner at the Nancy Zieman Blog.

3. It’s the year of the mini, and Corey at Little Miss Shabby has a Mini Posies Quilt Block Tutorial that is as sweet as can be!
4. It’s the season for grilling, and you’ll want to do it in style with this Easy Grilling Apron at the Riley Blake Designs Blog.
5. Wendy at Ivory Spring has designed a free pattern for Quilting Treasures called Learning is Fun. I think it would be fun to make too!

6. Sew Alongs are quite popular right now, and I love this one from Bethany at Sweet Bee Buzzings for a Toiletry Tote. It would be perfect to take on a summer vacation!

7. Rachel at Stitched in Color has a great free motion quilting tutorial for continuous eights that looks fun to stitch. I’m going to practice this one soon.
8. I’ve been making pouches lately and I love how quick they are to make. Melissa at the Polka Dot Chair has rounded up 40 Zip Pouch Tutorials to inspire you!
9. If you’re looking for a fun way to practice your FMQ skills, you might want to join Jess at Elven Garden Quilts for her Giant Chevron Free Motion Quilt Along. She’ll walk you through the lap-size quilt construction and then give you lots of tips for quilting it!
10. Feathers and paper piecing are becoming friends at Blossom Heart Quilts. Alyce shares her feather block pattern and paper piecing tutorial with some great photos.
11. Have you seen this Trifle Dish Quilt Along happening at the Moda Bake Shop? I love the design and several bloggers have been helping build the layers over the past month. No calories, but lots of satisfaction for this trifle dish!
12. Another quilt along that has caught my attention is the Flowering Snowball QAL at Molly Flanders Makerie. I love this design and I just purchased the templates to make the block (or you could make your own). Mary makes curved piecing seem very simple with her great instructions.
13. If you need a quick quilt for summer, check out the Summer Slice Quilt Tutorial by Allison at Cluck Cluck Sew. This beginner friendly quilt looks like sew much fun!
14. Be prepared for a visit from the tooth fairy with this Sail Boat Tooth Fairy Pillow by Kimberly at the Fat Quarter Shop. How can you resist making one of these?
15. I know there are a lot of English paper piecing (epp) fans out there, and I just saw this beautiful circle block tutorial by Elizabeth at Occasional-Piece Quilt!. I’m beginning to like circles and curved piecing especially with all of the helpful hints out there!

16. Like mother, like daughter for Cristy at Sew Much Like Mom. She shares the very creative gene pool of her mother, Sharon Schamber and she shares their wonderful quilting tips, too! Check out this post on Easy Steps to Join Binding Strips.
17. I’d like to share a new-to-me blog from down under, Red Brolly. Bronwyn, the creator/owner of Red Brolly shares recipes, sewing and quilting tips, embroidery and children’s projects to name a few things. She also has an online quilt shop! I love this recent tutorial on embroidering the blanket stitch.
18. Perhaps you struggle with getting perfect points on your hand applique projects. Me too! Carrie at A Passion for Applique shares a few “pointers” for her process using the template and starch method.

19. Lindsey at Fort Worth Fabric Studios is always coming up with the cutest projects. She does not disappoint with this Strawberry Bunting Tutorial. All I need is that old weathered window frame and some aqua paint!
20. The drunkards path quilt block is a classic that makes some people nervous with its curved piecing. Rita at Red Pepper Quilts recently shared her progress and tips while making her own. Just beautiful!
