Yesterday was National Quilting Day and others call it International Quilting Weekend, so we’re still celebrating today! I will be teaching a class of beginners how to quilt. Sounds like a perfect way to commemorate the day! Plus, I have many things to show you that I’m Sew Thankful for!

1. The Fabric-Quilt Blog, Inspired by Fabric, has been hosting a Star Sampler Blog Hop with beautiful star block tutorials contributed by various bloggers. This sampler series of nine star blocks began March 4, and you can still catch all of the blocks and their links here.
2. The Birch Fabrics Blog has teamed up with Beth at Plum and June to bring you a Frolic Floor Pillow Tutorial using their latest line of fabric, Frolic. I love the idea of a big pillow for the floor!
3. I appreciate a good old fashioned classic block, especially when it’s made with “fresh fabric”. Caroline from Sew Can She has recently started a new blog series, Classic Blocks: Fresh Fabrics. She will be bringing you a new block tutorial the first week of each month, so make sure you follow along to catch the latest! The first block is The Friendship Star using a new fabric collection from Anna Griffin.
4. Here’s a lucky little table runner that is just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Jamie from Busy Bee Quilts has a sweet tutorial for this Linen & Shamrock Table Runner which she made in an afternoon!

5. If you’re a fan of English paper piecing, then you will love this Hexie Butterfly Pillow tutorial by Diane at Craftypod. Diane does a great job of showing all of the construction steps plus there’s an EPP video included. This pillow is just perfect for spring!

6. Sometimes I’m inspired by just the fabric alone, and such was the case with Sweet as Honey by Bonnie Christine for Art Gallery Fabrics. And this led me to Bonnie’s blog, Going Home to Roost, which is having a Sweet as Honey Blog Tour. There are many bloggers contributing projects made from this line of fabric which is so inspiring! Plus, you’ll find “everything handmade and anything homegrown” on her blog.
7. There’s a new quilt along in town: The Crazy Acres Quilt Along at Fort Worth Fabric Studios. You can follow along and get your fabric requirements today; then cutting instructions begin on March 20!
8. Applique can be so intimidating, but this circle technique by Debby Kratovil for Sew in Love {with fabric} makes for a great project. I love butterflies and I love this applique technique!

9. It’s so nice to have a design wall to get a good perspective of a quilt before you sew it together. Karin at Leigh Laurel Studios shows you how to make a portable design wall that allows you to easily move it around or store it when not it use. Home Depot here I come!

10. I’m always looking for good free motion quilting designs, and I found one recently at Piece N Quilt. Natalia shows you how to quilt a star flower block with feathers and surround the block with pebbles and swirls. She includes a video so you can see her in action!
11. If you’re ready for some craft room inspiration, check out this roundup by Camila at Titi Crafty: 13 Craft Rooms of our Dreams! It’s drool-worthy!
12. Amanda at Jedi Craft Girl has made a LUCKY St. Patrick’s Day Pillow and she gives you the full “how to” on her blog. I’m feelin’ lucky already!
13. The Fat Quarter Shop is always full of good things, and their blog, The Jolly Jabber, is too! They recently shared a tutorial to make these cute little scalloped hand towels.

14. I’m seeing lots of Granny Squares out there, and I love this tutorial by Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts. She breaks the Granny Square down for you and gives you setting options and piecing guidelines. Granny never looked so good!

15. I am smitten with this next quilt block, Radiant Splendor. Faith at Fresh Lemon Quilts has taken a “vintage” block and made it modern with great instructions of her own. It finishes at 20″ square – that could be a mini-quilt right there!
