Teachers are busy, and the “connected educators” who read education blogs and network with other teachers via social media might find it tough to get all those great ideas out to colleagues who aren’t online. These two free newsletters are a quick and easy way to share best practices in education: just check them out yourself, and forward them along to your co-workers if you find them useful.
This is the seventh issue of the new free digital magazine for teachers, leaders, and learners called The Best and Next in Education. I’m a huge fan of its founder, AJ Juliani, who is a K-12 tech staff developer with a vision to help push the best educational content out to his colleagues.
His team picks four of the best blog posts from the past two weeks to share in the magazine. They also review books, tools, and apps, and share what’s new in ed research and ed tech. There are already over 610 school districts and 120k teachers signed up to read the newsletter!
The other newsletter I want to share with you today is curated by my friend Marjan Glavac of The Busy Educator. It’s called The Busy Educator Newsletter, and it goes out each Friday to over 20,000 subscribers. What makes this newsletter different from many other paper.li newsletters is that it’s not automatically curated: Marjan carefully selects articles from all over the web based on what he thinks will be most useful to teachers. Click on “All Education” to see his favorite posts for classroom best practices.
