Tom Herman doesn't wear Sandals

Since the Houston Cougars celebrate a victory over the Louisville
Cardinals by losing to the Memphis Tigers 48-44 the following week, he
prefers Flip-Flops.

Trump's point is defined as follows: "the tip of of a figurative spear, applied with increasing pressure into the collective ribcage of 2.14 million more voters than voted for the Donald. College students and Miley Cyrus appear to be the most vulnerable and sensitive. There is widespread sentiment among Democrats that moving further to the left will relieve the pain."

Friend at work thought that 2M+ numbet might give y'all pause.

I told him, nah, they'll get off on it, it's right up their alley, they coulda won with 1% of the vote and would still be all about the man datin'.

Cheers.

I'd feel strong about it had not HRC gotten 300k more votes than Pres Obama in 2008 during the primaries

Refresh my memory on the squawking then

Chin music.

dotslashderek@gmail.com: Nov 25 01:02PM -0800

I would, ch, but I disbelieve that you'd actually feel strongly about it now, even if obama had won more votes than hillary then.

I'm also not sure what it is you should or shouldn't be feeling strongly about, as I wasn't arguing the results or winner, only the ridiculous "clearly americans want gop policy - gdi, this is a conservative christian nation and if you godless liberals don't like it, get out" interpretation of those results.

Especially when you look beneath the fold a bit - for instance, at the statewide initiative results - where the "left" position rutsed the heck out of the "right" position all over the place, including in "reliably red" states.

But I'm committed to not raining all over the final death throe backed into corner fading demos extinction burst achievements of a group that's as out-dated as it is mean-spirited, because i feel like I've got time on my side, and yet look at me here - being all Darth Cloud and shit.

Not nice. Reset. Have a good turkeyday? How's the huskiddo settling in?

Cheers.

If LSU hires Herman, will Arkansas get the Boot?

"Thomas R. Kettler" <tkettler@blownfuse.net>: Nov 25 03:35PM -0500

That is, the Golden Boot. After all, Herman's Houston team celebrates a
win over Louisville by playing flat as a pancake today against Memphis
(although they are leading 37-34).

Consequently, a Herman LSU team could celebrate beating Bama Lama by
losing to Arkansas.

Latest Foreign Relations Ploy by Donald Trump

"Thomas R. Kettler" <tkettler@blownfuse.net>: Nov 25 03:27PM -0500

He'll have France pay for hundreds of millions of dollars in repairs to
the Statue of Liberty.

In a strongly worded email to French President François Hollande, Trump
reiterated "Oh, you'll pay for it."

She is already a proven leader and a very popular Governor. What does she lack?
Foreign policy interaction and experience. Where does she get it? Serving as America's
Ambassador to the United Nations. Brilliant career move and an excellent way to
prepare for bigger and better things.

On the field is what counts. Erasers don't make a kicked butt hurt
less.

And the Ohio team could win it all.

Slick is not in rsfc FB. He does occasionally post to his FB feed but very seldom. Or maybe more accurately very seldom something the FB algorithm shows me.

xyzzy <xyzzy.dude@gmail.com>: Nov 25 08:56AM -0800

Jaros and Enright like to get into it with my non-rsfc liberal Facebook friends. Sometimes I have to restrain them to keep worlds from colliding.

Phillip Harrison went full Bernie Bro and unfriended me because he didn't like me arguing with him on his posts "It's my wall, shill someplace else". He and Tony Lima are the only people ever to unfriend or block me for political reasons (as far as I know). Pussies.

Mellow isn't the first word that comes to mind when describing Bellomy. I credit the perpetual disillusionment that Aggies are required to bear.

That would be amazing.

As I have mentioned once before I gave the last cig in a package to a
man who was out and needed to buy more. When he mentioned it was the
last I told him, "Doesn't matter, I'm quitting". I have never smoked
another and that was 66 years ago.

I see a reason for medical weed. And I have one drink most nights to
help me sleep - never two. But drugs to keep one alive and drugs to
avoid life are vastly different IMO.

The lessons of this football season.....

michael anderson <mianderson79@gmail.com>: Nov 25 10:51AM -0800

It's been a season of people trying to pretend teams are good when we know deep down they aren't. I'm looking at you Texas a&m, Nebraska. And now Colorado and Penn state(neither of women are worth a damn). Wisconsin isn't bad, but they also sure as hell aren't the 5th best team in the country either. This is one of those years where except for you know who, there really isn't much separation on a week in and put basis between the next 20 PR so teams. Depending on where theylan and what part of the season. Take Nebraska and Iowa....Iowa is supposedly having a down year relative to last year and Nebraska a good year, bit iirc the line for today's game actually gives Iowa a better chance to win THIS YEAR....this 'down' Iowa team against a much improved Nebraska team. The point is that there really isn't that much difference between Nebraska last year and this year in terms of quality....oh and throw Utah in this mix too.

This myth that now USC is an elite team right now. But sucked earlier. Eh....not buying it. I don't doubt that the qb now is better, but this team that got mauled by bama to open the year would be mauled by bama now....

This idea a few tools in the media are pushing that Charlie strong and Ed Oregon aren't "being given a fair shake". Wtf?! Charlie strong is an embarrassment to the university of Texas and should not allowed to have been allowed to board the plane after the Kansas game. And while no doubt LSU is MUCH better under Oregon than miles, he's still been bad and the Florida game was coaching malpractice. Neither of these guys should be anywhere near a hc position at a top program.

But by far really the only story this year has been Alabama and the Alabama defense. In a year without any Heisman level performers on offense, I would vote for Jonathan Allen. Alabama's top 6 or so players on defense are amongst the 15 or so best defensive players....in the entire country. Nothing like that has really ever been seen. The question really isn't whether bama will win the national title...it's will the bama defense singlehandedly outscore the opponent in the title game. I wonder if there is a prop bet for that somewhere....

Rice at Stanford

JGibson <james.m.gibson@gmail.com>: Nov 25 10:25AM -0800

Tomorrow at 8 PM. Their history so far (thanks to Stassen and Howell):

Rice:
10/10/1964 @ Stanford (5-5) L 7 34
10/12/1963 vs. Stanford (3-7) W 23 13
9/27/1958 @ Stanford (2-8) W 30 7
10/5/1957 vs. Stanford (6-4) W 34 7

My dad was actually an undergrad at Rice for the first two games and a grad student at Stanford for the second two games. Best guess is that Stanford is going to narrow the series this year.
