$Bill <news@todbe.com>: Feb 02 10:16PM -0800

Lakers stop the bleeding at 10 games. Kobe/Lou/Russell Clarkson/Randle all had
good games - Swaggy was the only poor shooter. The D wasn't really there
tonight, but the had O for a change to make up for it. Those 5 guys were in
DFs and Randle with the DD. 119-115 Lakers win by 4 and end their 10 game
losing streak.

Quarterly Laker scoring leaders/notes (pluses OR/ST/BL; minuses TO/PF/oOR):

Q1 - Lakers a little slow again to start, but make a run for a 1 pt lead at EOQ
- shooting 55% vs 65%; pluses 2/2/1; minuses 3/4/1. Clarkson 8, Randle 6,
Bryant 5. 27-26=+1Q.

Q2 - Lakers amazingly open a DD lead and maintain their 50+% shooting -
shooting 57% vs 42%; pluses 1/2/1; minuses 2/9/3 - PFs are the current
weakness. Russell 11, Williams/Bryant 10, Randle 4. 39-26=+13q.

HT - Lakers with an amazing 66 pt H1 have a comfortable lead - shooting 56% vs
54%; pluses 3/4/2; minuses 5/13/4. Bryant 15, Russell 13, Williams 12,
Randle 10, Clarkson 8. 66-52=+14H.

Q3 - Lakers drop a few, but still have a 11 pt lead despite 38% shooting -
shooting 38% vs 55%; pluses 3/2/0; minuses 1/5/3. Bryant 9, Williams 6,
Clarkson 4. 26-29=-3Q (92-81=+11).

Q4 - I was a bit skeptical of putting Kobe back in in Q4, but he played great
and helped get the W for sure - shooting 50% vs 68%; pluses 1/3/0; minuses
3/6/1. Bryant 14, Clarkson 4. 27-34=-7Q.

Final - Lakers stop the bleeding at 10 games. Kobe/Lou/Russell Clarkson/Randle
all had good games - Swaggy was the only poor shooter. The D wasn't
really there tonight, but the had O for a change to make up for it.

Minnesota at Los Angeles (20160202)

LOS ANGELES (AP) Kobe Bryant hit seven 3-pointers while scoring a
season-high 38 points, and the Los Angeles Lakers snapped their 10-game
losing streak with a 119-115 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on
Tuesday night.

Lou Williams scored 20 points for the Lakers, who avoided the longest
losing streak in the 16-time champion franchise's history despite
blowing a 16-point lead in the second half. Los Angeles had lost 10
straight for the first time since 1994.

Bryant took charge with a vintage performance in his farewell season,
repeatedly scoring from the perimeter in the Lakers' first win since
Jan. 12.

After Minnesota took the lead in the waning minutes, Bryant put the
Lakers back ahead with dramatic back-to-back 3-pointers. He scored 14
of the Lakers' 18 points in the final 5:02.

Andrew Wiggins scored 30 points for the Timberwolves, who have lost
five straight and 16 of 18.
