Put me down for Parker getting hurt if they ever target him.

I see the potential in him but he also looks fragile - he appears
slender for his size.

Iunno, maybe I'm seeing things.

I hate bullshit like "he will be limited while he learns..." blah, blah,

Fucking plug him in at DE and let him rip the QBs head off.

It's not like anyone is setting the edge in the run game anyhow.

Personally I'm tired of Miami celebrating anything.

Seemingly every time they trot anyone out to toast their fantastic
accomplishments, they get trounced.

The last good celebration was Shula beating Philly for the record.

Refresh my memory if there has been something worthy since then.

Ooh, forgot this great memory:

least 4 FGs, with 5...

....From the top down. How much longer are they going to shit on their last 20,000 fans?

<< Dolphins raising some season ticket prices for 2016, requesting renewals now >>

The Miami Dolphins will be raising the price of approximately 46 percent of their seats at Sun Life Stadium for 2016 and they are asking all current season ticket customers to commit to renewing for next season by December 18 -- earlier than usual and before this season is over and a decision on the next head coach is made.

The Miami Herald learned of the team's intentions after multiple season ticket customers who had received their renewal letters emailed to complain mostly about the renewal deadline and secondly about price increases.

The Dolphins have confirmed renewal letters have been sent out and the December 18 deadline is correct. The team also confirmed some tickets will be increasing in price.

Per the team, less than eight percent of seats will be going up more than $5, although it is not immediately known how many are going up in the neighborhood of $5 and how many are going up a much more considerable amount than $5.

The team is also saying the price of 35,710 seats will remain flat or actually go down. That's 54 percent of the seats in the stadium.

But again, pricing is a secondary complaint among some fans. The timing on the decision to renew is the greater concern.

"This season will not even be over," said one season-ticket holder who emailed The Miami Herald unsolicited. "It seems to me that they clearly do not want season ticket holders to see what they are going to do next year before the renewal deadline.

"I think fans would be interested in hearing why they sent renewals this early, with such an early deadline."

The team said privately that this year's deadline is no different than that of some times in the past. But that is not true of all past years.

"The packages we received today demanding we renew by Dec. 18 at increased rates is insane," said another season ticket holder, who also emailed The Herald unsolicited. "The Dolphins tell us they can't refurbish the Club level for another year because they 'just' learned it is unsafe to work under a roof being built.

"The Dolphins are telling us that the early renewals are because they have a wait list.

"How stupid do the decision-makers at the Dolphins think we are? This is insulting to all fans."

Dolphins fans have been complaining to one degree or another since the refurbishing to Sun Life Stadium began last spring and the new seating arrangement changed prices and displaced some longtime fans from their seats.

But the club has boasted season ticket sales in 2015 was a booming success. The club actually sold out its '15 season ticket goals.

The football team's performance in that refurbished stadium has not been a booming success, however. The Dolphins are 4-6 and not currently looking like a postseason qualifier with six games to play. The team even fired head coach Joe Philbin in October and has a decision to make about its new head coach after the season is over.

Despite that lack of success on the field and the uncertainty on the coach and his staff, the club wants fans to make a purchase commitment with three games remaining in the season.

If winning were the basis for buying season tickets, this team couldn't
sell a third of the seats that they do. I feel certain they've lost old
time fans aplenty over the last 20 years - certainly over the last 10.
The last time I even knew the price of season tickets I laughed at the
idea of owning them. That was at least 20 years ago. I do not
understand the who or the why of those sales - and I'm talking even if
the team was winning 10 games a year.

I do not think there are any season ticket holder among those who post
here, but if there are, I salute your commitment.

Somebody has to pay for that new roof.

From what I'm reading, it's no so much the money, it's that they want a decision NOW!

Who the fuck do they think is stupid enough to commit that much dough with 3 games remaining in THIS season?

If the fans don't know what they've got now, then they are clueless. I
can predict within a game or so what their final W/L record is going to
be without even firing up my crystal ball or boiling up any tea leaves.

If the thing that's got you on the fence is how these guys do the rest
of the way, I'd say take that money and buy a nice Ultra HD TV and put
the rest in the bank. This is WYSIWYG.

I think it's obvious that this dink and dunk, popgun offense is not getting the job done.

I'm curious to see who loses their job first. If I was a betting man, I'd go with Lazor. He seems to be more stubborn.

Drumrboy <drumrboy@aol.com>: Nov 27 10:44AM -0800

Kelly still managed to run the ball 25 times in a BLOWOUT loss.

Lazor ran it 14 times in a 7 point game.

Boys, this is a high school offense. It will not, for any length of
time, get it done.

If I owned the Fins, I would have a coach that runs with a fullback and
a TE.

Offset "I" formation - one of the best balanced offenses you can run.

Go "Pro" set in obvious passing downs.

I miss the old days.

OL like to "take it to a defense", not backpedal and get knocked on thier asses.

Why does Lazor insist on Tannehill dinking and dunking for 5 yards a pop, when he can hand the ball off for 5 yards a pop?

Lazor was a college QB. He had been a QB coach for virtually his entire
career before coming to Miami. He apparently doesn't know what a running
game is.

Seriously, the guy talks like he really thinks a "ground and pound"
offense can't work, almost like he doesn't know or doesn't believe that,
once upon a time, ALL successful NFL teams did it that way. He talks as
though he can't fathom running the ball for 80 yard drives.

It seems like we've been asking why coaches don't stay with the running game for years.

What is it with this franchise? I mean, haven't we seen people kill us with the run enough already?
3rd and 14 and they convert on a draw?

We might want to try running sometime, since fancy feet RT can't be counted on to do much of anything.

Billy Lazor's take on Devante Parker...

Drumrboy <drumrboy@aol.com>: Nov 27 03:24PM -0800

This guy sounds Dumber every time he opens his mouth...

<< Asked this week if Parker was entering the "danger zone" where this season could be a lost year for the rookie, Miami offensive coordinator Bill Lazor looked more at the fact that the team had just 13 completed passes and 41 offensive plays against the Cowboys than anything Parker did or did not do.

"I thought he - 41 official plays makes it hard, but to me I think when he went in the game, I just went 'Ok, it's DeVante's turn to be in the game.' I wasn't really concerned about what plays were going to get called and really on game day, 99.9 percent of my focus is on winning the game and we try going into the game to handle as much of when guys are going into the game and all of that, so that doesn't get in the way. Sometimes on the gameplan there's specific plays that we're getting guys in and sometimes you say 'Ok they can go ahead and play.' I feel like he's coming back and I feel like he's ready to go in the game and play. At the end of it, when you look at it, you probably wish he had more, but I know this, in a game like that when we had 13 completions, it's hard to imagine any position room is happy and I usually don't think about it during the game. During the game I'm thinking about winning the game, when it's over I look and say 'Gosh, I wish I would've gotten more to him, I wish I would've gotten more to him,' when it's 13 completions only, there aren't many that I feel I took care of."

That still leaves the question of when will Parker get into the game? When will be become a part of the offense? The Dolphins are still in the AFC Wildcard playoff race, somehow sitting just one game out of the final spot despite a 4-6 record. The team is still looking to win for this year right now, and it does not appear they are trusting of Parker to be a part of that effort. Will it take Miami being eliminated from the playoff picture to have Parker on the field more than just four snaps? >>

J Lunis <lunis.j@gmail.com>: Nov 27 04:13PM -0800

If Landry doesn't play and Laziest won't let Parker play, maybe Hazel gets snaps. Wonder if he can run bubbles.

What does he care. He doen't have to worry about saving Landry's
