The Chargers are joining the Rams in Los Angeles, the Broncos and Bills found their new head coaches, the Knicks hit a new low on the season, and a familiar Breaking Bad face appears headed to Better Call Saul. We’ll get to all that and much more here at the Thursday Cheat Sheet. It’s go time!

The Chargers appear to be moving to Los Angeles for real this time, and they plan to play in a tiny-ass stadium

Several reports surfaced on Wednesday night that the San Diego Chargers (finally) plan to move to Los Angeles, and owner Dean Spanos will inform the staff this morning:

A stunner: Chargers plan to announce as early as Thursday they are moving to LA, ending 55-year stint with SD, league sources tell ESPN.

Word is Chargers have tentatively scheduled a press conference in LA for the middle of next week. Obviously, pending final everythings.

The Chargers moving to LA is a surprise to no one, but what is pretty shocking is that they reportedly plan to play at the Stubhub Center for the next two seasons. And the seating capacity is just 30,000 people:

So, that will be interesting.

The Chargers are a bad franchise. Dean Spanos is a bad owner. And still it hurts like hell that they're leaving. Irrationality of sports.

— Lee Jenkins (@SI_LeeJenkins) January 12, 2017

Dan Fouts to ESPN on Chargers move: "At first I hoped it was fake news. … It's something that is unfathomable, but it is reality."

— Jim Trotter (@JimTrotter_NFL) January 12, 2017

If the Chargers do indeed leave, San Diego will be the only MLB city with no other big-four sports teams. Good thing Petco Park is nice.

It's going to be a Lakers/Clippers situation only both teams will be treated locally like the Clippers. https://t.co/nzHjcfjmKN

Broncos hire Dolphins DC Vance Joseph as new head coach

It's official.

Excited to announce Vance Joseph as head coach of the Denver Broncos! pic.twitter.com/m87uUn9KXs

— John Elway (@johnelway) January 11, 2017

The Denver Broncos have quickly found their replacement for Gary Kubiak, and the choice is the guy they’ve been linked to all along: Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. The 44-year-old actually interviewed for the job in 2015.

Joseph has been considered one of the game’s better head coaching prospects and immediately gets a top-tier defense to work with in Denver.

It also appears that Mike McCoy will return to be the Broncos’ offensive coordinator after spending the last few years as the Chargers’ head coach:

Vance Joseph wanted to hire Todd Downing as OC, that changed yesterday. Now Mike McCoy will be his OC in Denver per multiple sources

Bills hire Panthers DC Sean McDermott as new head coach

IT’S OFFICIAL. We’ve agreed with Sean McDermott to become head coach of the Buffalo Bills!

— Buffalo Bills (@buffalobills) January 11, 2017

Very similar to the Denver hire, as Sean McDermott is a younger coach (42) coming off of several years as a defensive coordinator to get his first head coaching job.

McDermott has done a solid job with the Carolina Panthers’ defense — although it certainly helps to have Luke Kuechly — and will likely have the Bills switching to a 4-3 scheme. FTW’s Steven Ruiz took a deeper look at the move, calling McDermott a “perfect fit in Buffalo”.

Quick Hits

– Things keep getting worse for the Knicks, as last night they blew a 10-point lead with 2:20 left to lose to the 76ers on a fadeaway buzzer-beater from T.J. McConnell. And after Kristaps Porzingis airballed a wide-open three. Video of the sequence:

And after the win, Joel Embiid danced with Sixers cheerleaders:
