We are looking for a Fulfillment Specialist who is efficient working independently while managing several departmental initiatives with accountability for driving projects successfully to close. The essential job functions are designed around continuous improvement efforts and planning for the operational challenges we face daily as a swiftly growing specialty ecommerce retailer.  As a Fulfillment Specialist at The Clymb, you’ll provide solution-oriented navigation tactics revolving around day-to-day and project-based order fulfillment initiatives with the goal of ensuring high performance, efficiency, and accuracy across the Operations department. You will be a hands-on leader and manage the day-to-day order fulfillment life of each online event, jumping in when needed and modeling desired performance from a project management perspective. 

This position requires someone that can manage relationships between multiple departments, inspire and engage staff in the basic principles of project management, help with planning, and manage communications to both internal and external customers, including our 3PL.

Role Responsibilities:

Act as a primary point of contact for our internal customers and 3PL provider on order fulfillment processes and issues.

Anticipate fulfillment problems and/or issues and report needs to appropriate parties.  Consistently review and improve the interdepartmental process flow to ensure maximum efficiency.

Report on all order fulfillment performance. 

Develop, implement and monitor plan to improve internal communication and processes. Manage internal and external communications and set expectations.

Proactively manage overall department project plans and all phases of events from concept to completion, including any scheduling, resource requirements, and cross-functional efforts. Establish clear communication of project needs and phases.

Work closely with Engineering and other internal staff to coordinate Quality Assurance with departments as new feature sets are released.

Provide guidance on Project Management disciplines (scope, issues, risk, quality, communication).

Work closely with departmental management staff.

Ensure operational fulfillment goals are aligned with company objectives.

Hold regular check-in meetings throughout key milestones of projects, including post-mortem meetings to ensure key learnings are shared in efforts to continually improve processes.

Act as the escalation point between departments.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with a minimum 2 years of experience in either Operations, Project Management, 3PL/Distribution Management.

Basic understanding of how various aspects of business operations function and their needs: merchandising, production, distribution, and engineering, preferably in a retail and or customer facing environment.

Basic understanding of eCommerce principles.

Self-motivated and capable of working as part of a team.

Experience with communication tools and techniques.

Ability to perceive problems and react quickly to effect solutions.

Demonstrated ability for creative and innovative thinking.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint a minimum)

Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and commitments.

Excellent communication skills; engaging others, recording details, working with people of all skill levels and personalities in a positive manner.

An genuine desire to build and improve upon tools and processes in a very fast paced ever changing environment; must be flexible and able to adapt to change efficiently and often.
