For our Super Bowl parties I try to come up with simple, quick and easy Super Bowl appetizers recipes that will make the guys (and gals) taste buds water. A few key ingredients they all love is bacon, cheese and ranch, so I always find a way to incorporate those into one or two appetizers. But I’d like to make these dishes a little on the “better for you” side so I use a really great pre-made Ranch dressing that I found in the refrigerated aisle at Kroger.

Disclosure: This post is part of the blogger program by Naturally Fresh® and The Motherhood, who compensated me for my time and the development of this recipe. Opinions, experiences and photos shared here are my own, and I hope you enjoy them.

Naturally Fresh is a refrigerated line of high-quality, homemade-tasting salad dressings that contain NO artificial colors, artificial flavors, thickeners, MSG or preservatives. That’s why they’re refrigerated, because they don’t have all that junk added to them so they have a shelf life. My favorite is the Classic Ranch but you can also get Lite Ranch, Bleu Cheese and Lite Bleu Cheese among others. One thing I LOVE about these dressings is that they are made with Naturally Fresh’s® own buttermilk. And the taste is incredible.

Ok, for our party I always make some classic standby recipes like our Jalapeno Fritatta. But I also like to add a few new recipes each year. Sometimes they are a huge hit and become the new yearly party foods and sometimes they are a miss. I think I scored a touhdown with this year’s recipes and I wanted to share them with you! And it just so happens, that they all include Naturally Fresh® Ranch dressing. I loved it so much I couldn’t stop creating with it!

Below, you will find printable Super Bowl Appetizer recipes for:

Bacon Cheddar Ranch Fries

Ranch Grilled Chicken Wings

Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels

Spicy Bacon Ranch Pinwheels

Please note that I am NOT a professional cook. I’m a mom who cooks and eyeballs pretty much everything. So some of these aren’t exact measurements and some are “to taste” but I’ll get you as close as I can.

Ranch Grilled Chicken Wings

This next recipe is for chicken wings and it is so simple it doesn’t even need a recipe card. We like to use pre-cooked, un-sauced wings but any chicken wings will do. If you are using uncooked wings, you can boil them until they are done, first, then proceed with grilling them if you want them to cook up quicker. Otherwise, you can just do them on the grill from beginning to end.  We like to use pre-cooked wings just to save on time. Putting them on the grill makes them tender and juicy. For this recipe, all you have to do is baste the Naturally Fresh® Ranch Dressing on your COOKED wings, right on the grill. Do this right before you are ready to take them off the grill. Let them grill for about one minute on each side and they are done! Grilling the sauce right on the wings locks in the ranch flavor and makes them a lot less messy to eat. If you like them spicy, baste with hot sauce first, grill on each side for about a minute and then baste with the ranch and grill them for about a minute on each side again. YUM!

Now it’s time for some pinwheels and we have two versions for you: Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels and Spicy Bacon Ranch Pinwheels. Both use any brand of crescent rolls you like best. One has buffalo chicken in it. I will be posting a recipe for Slow Cooker Shredded Buffalo Chicken in a couple of weeks but in the meantime, I have a substitution. If you have a great recipe for Shredded Buffalo Chicken already, feel free to use it. If not, and to save time, you can simply used canned white meat chicken and 1 tsp of your favorite hot sauce. The Slow Cooker Shredded Buffalo Chicken is fantastic in these pinwheels but the other method works pretty well too.
