I have absolutely no regrets about creating The Chronicles Of Renard on Blogger; doing so, enabled me to delve deeply into the technical aspects of Blogger (One can really play around with the look of their template and experiment with various plugins).

Also, being on Blogger encourages one to work harder at blogging, because no one here hands you anything on a silver plater.

Blogging away on Blogger definitely helped me to explore my creativity (And, I am grateful for that).

One Is Forced Into Becoming A Better Blogger
Since a person on Blogger needs to work a little harder than average in order to stand out in the blogosphere, the constant habit of them striving to be better, actually transforms them into high calibre blogger (Which is a good thing).

So, Blogger has inspired me to raise my standards (And, I am always trying to raise the proverbial bar higher and higher).

Shattering The Stereotypes About Blogger
A lot of people have claimed that Blogger is for those people who are new to the blogging scene; which is partially true, since a lot of established bloggers have had their start right here on Blogger;  however, a lot of established bloggers had their start on WordPress too. But, for some reason (probably a biased one), a lot of blogging experts are into the habit of telling their audiences that Blogger is not the place for people who are serious about their blogging; they have often stated that if one is truly serious about blogging, they should do it on the self-hosted version of WordPress.

For the record, there are a lot of serious bloggers here on Blogger; people who are versed at business and personal blogging.

I want the myth about Blogger being a blog site for only those who are inexperienced bloggers to be shattered once and for all.

It is sad to know that a lot of people do not see the true potential of Blogger; which is endless.

When I first started on Blogger many years ago, I never knew that it was possible to upload my own templates or upload various widgets and plugins.

One of the biggest ironies is: I only learned about what a person can truly do with Blogger while I was over at WordPress (Hmm. Which is a bit embarrassing to mention; but I have used this as an example to let you know that people do not always have all the facts about Blogger and in their ignorance, they look upon Blogger as a very trivial blog site).

I Enjoy Supporting My Fellow Bloggers
I was always in the habit of supporting my fellow bloggers; it is something that I do regularly over on WordPress and I see no reason why I should not do the same here on Blogger.

All bloggers (no matter what blog site that they are on) like getting the support from other bloggers in the blogosphere; for without it, they may get the impression that no one is interested in their blog and they may choose to abandon their blog if they have noticed that they are getting very little views or (the worse case scenario) no views at all.

A blog appears to be lifeless without comments and the interaction via the comments section of a blog by others, makes the blogging experience a worthwhile one.

The truth is: as bloggers, we like it a lot when people comment on our blogs (I happen to be one of those people).

So, the next time you read a post from a person on Blogger that you like, leave them a sincere comment (They would be pleased to know that you found their post interesting and they may even choose to repay the favour by visiting your blog and commenting on one of your articles).

I wished that the people on Blogger interacted more; it is as though they are afraid of interaction or, they do not know how to interact with others.

If the bloggers on Blogger interacted with their fellow bloggers in the same manner in which the bloggers on WordPress interact with each other, Blogger would be a more exciting blog site.

Many of the people who were on Blogger and made the switch to WordPress have often come complained about the lack of interaction with others on Blogger.

It is my mission to incite a high level of interaction on Blogger (Hopefully, in the very near future, interaction would have caught on like wildfire on Blogger).

A blog site where people hardly interact with each other is a boring one; which is why WordPress has excelled; because of the fact that there is a lot of interaction taking place on it.

The people on Blogger have the power within themselves to make that change; they could do that by supporting their fellow bloggers.

Have you been making the effort to support your fellow bloggers on Blogger? If you have not been supporting your fellow bloggers, I strongly suggest that you start doing so; because, what goes around, comes around.

I like supporting my fellow bloggers and I will continue to give my fellow bloggers that much needed support once I am online.

Good People Need To Remain On Blogger
If all the good people on Blogger said, "Goodbye," and left for some other blog site, there would be no experienced person on Blogger to be a mentor for the newcomers to Blogger.

An experienced person on Blogger can let the newcomer know that when they first started blogging, they made the mistake of doing such and such and to prevent them from making those same mistakes when they first started, they (the newcomer) would be better off doing x, y and z.

If you can help out a newcomer, by all means, put forward your assistance (But, ask them if they would like some assistance before giving them advice that they are not opened to).

Paying Close Attention To Blogger
Since I rejoined Blogger, I have been paying close attention to it; because, I am highly curious to see what this blog site is going to evolve into; the only big change I have really seen was: the integration of Google+ comments on the blogs of Blogger (But, that is not my preferred commenting platform for blogs on Blogger; however, the integration of Google+ with Blogger is a very good idea).

Although WordPress is the proverbial big dog of the blog sites, countless people have chosen to join Blogger (And, that is a good thing, because that clearly shows that people are still interested in Blogger).

I have also noticed that a lot of people from India are on Blogger (And, those tech-savvy Indians could have been on WordPress; but they chose Blogger as their place to blog).

Friendships Were Created On Blogger
Since I rejoined Blogger, I gave blogging my best effort on this blog site and I have reaped the benefits of acquiring a fairly-sized readership; which is growing on a daily basis.

And, I have managed to become friends with some of my readers (And, some of my readers are also my fellow bloggers).

So, if you have been blogging on Blogger for quite sometime, you will make friends with other readers.

Have you made friends with some of your readers since you started blogging on Blogger? The majority of you all would have answered, "Yes!"

It Is Us Who Make The Blog Site What It Is
What I am about to say would apply to all blog sites, including Blogger.

If a blog site's community is made up of friendly and supportive people, that blog site would be an enjoyable one to be on and people who are having fun blogging, do not abandon their blog (Or, their blog site either).

So, if you and I can assist in the area of making Blogger a fun place to be, people would enjoy blogging on Blogger (It is a simple theory; one that is capable of coming into fruition if we all continued to be friendly and supportive).

At the moment, there are people who speak negatively about Blogger; because they view it as the worst blog site on the world wide web.

If being on Blogger was horrible in the past, you and I can change things for the better by being friendly and supportive and hopefully as time goes along, people would start seeing blogger as a beautiful place to blog.

Blogging Regularly On Blogger
I blog on Blogger, because it is a wonderful medium in which I can get my writing out (And, I do love to write).

Also my viewing audiences from around the world have grown accustomed to reading articles from me on a daily basis and if they did not see anything from me, they would be highly concerned; some of them will utter, "Hmm. Where is Renard? I hope that he is okay."

Thankfully, my readers have nothing to worry about, because the only thing that could keep me away from blogging would be, technical difficulties and issues with my internet feed.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, I would be blogging away on Blogger like there was no tomorrow.

I Use Innovative Methods To Get My Quota Of Blogging Done On Blogger
While some other bloggers may choose to brew an entire pot of coffee with the intentions of keeping themselves energized and awake, I have chosen to listen to electronic dance music on my headphones; it keeps me energized and awake; just like an entire pot of coffee (I recommend trying it, because you are not going to suffer the side effects of caffeine; because you would be listening to your favourite type of music on your headphones).

What special method that you use in order to get your quota of blogging done?

One of these days, I will experiment by drinking a half bottle of vodka with the intentions of finding out whether or not if consuming that amount of alcohol would enhance my blogging (I will ask my friend, Ray Turner if he ever tried it and if the results were favourable ones for blogging).

Blogging Undisturbed
When I have entered that blogging zone — the zone where I am deeply submerged into blogging and the ideas are flowing freely like running water from a tap, I hate it when someone disturbs me; because I am pulled out of that zone.

Since No Disturb signs are ignored by many people in the twenty first century, I would have to let them know that I hate being disturbed when I am in the middle of my blogging process (So, instead of a No Disturb sign, I will put up a Blogger On Duty sign and hope that helps).

Being A Hardcore Blogger Works
Luckily for me, I am already a hardcore blogger; I am willing to blog about everything under the Sun; so it is never really hard for me to blog away on Blogger.

Also, I feel like a figurative fish that is out of water when I am unable to blog; it is something that I need to do in order for me to feel sane.

Do you ever feel out of sorts whenever you are unable to blog on Blogger? Now, I hope that I am not the only person on the planet who has this type of feeling.

By the way, I consider my addiction to blogging as a healthy one; since a lot of people today are addicted to dangerous substances like illegal drugs and alcohol.

The Conclusion
Blogging away on Blogger is a lot of fun for me (If the experience of blogging on Blogger was not fun for me, I would not have continued blogging on this blog site; I would have been blogging on WordPress only).

Also, I was quite serious when I mentioned that I would like to see more interaction taking place here on Blogger and that we the members of the Blogger community could transform Blogger into a blog site that is comprised of people who are friendly and supportive (We have to set the example of being friendly and supportive; which in itself will inspire other bloggers to be friendly and supportive).

Blogger is not a horrendous blog site (And, Google knows this).

Let us not forget the fact that, a large number of people worldwide have chosen to set up their blogs on Blogger (So, Blogger is still popular; even though it is not the number one blog site in the blogosphere).

And, may we all remember, that those who are serious about blogging can remain here on Blogger (Blogger needs to stop losing all their highly experienced bloggers anyway, so that they can mentor the newcomers).

This is what I have envisioned for Blogger:

If Blogger were to modernize by adding more beautiful templates to their collection and ridding themselves of the ugly archaic ones; it would entice a lot of people into joining Blogger.

Also, a new and improved default commenting system would encourage people to use it, instead of abandoning it for other commenting platforms like Commentluv and Disqus (I hereby admit that I use Disqus, because I hate Blogger's current default commenting system).

Google, would you please invest your money and your time into modernizing Blogger? After all, you own Blogger.

A modernized Blogger would certainly have a positive influence on bloggers; whereby, they would have that strong desire to blog on Blogger.

A modernized Blogger would be the talk of the town and that could place them on an even playing field with WordPress; in a position where they could actually give WordPress a run for their money.

It would be most ironic if in the future, bloggers on WordPress started exporting their blogs to Blogger; in the same manner that bloggers export their blogs on Blogger to WordPress.

Does Blogger want to have a fighting chance of excelling WordPress? Or, are they happy at being at second place?

Anyway, I would continue to keep blogging away on Blogger and I genuinely hope that I inspired you to do the same.

At the moment, Blogger is not as half as sophisticated as their competitor, WordPress, but they are worth blogging away on.

Plus, Blogger will always have their staunch supporters.

By the way, are you one of Blogger's staunch supporters?

Blogger is a blog site that has a lot of potential of becoming a very strong force to reckon with and I truly hope that Google's engineering staff would work on modernizing it.

In the meantime, I will keep my fingers crossed and I will also be hoping for the best for Blogger and all of its users.
