Swimsuits: check. Cameras: check. Cadillac full of STAYCATIONERS: check. Our crew packed up and headed out east for the weekend in the very first foray outside of Gotham in STAYCATIONERS history. Fasten your seatbelts — it’s about to get wet and wild.

Shrouded in mist by morning and sunbeams by day, The Montauk Beach House stands unabashedly in the heart of downtown Montauk in a cluster of dashingly decorated rooms. Sandwiched between Atlantic surf beaches and a cluster of the town’s epicenter of shops, restaurants, bars, and cafés, this bad boy’s got it all.
Pass a giant tiki statue? Congratulations. You’ve arrived at Montauk Beach House. Moving right along. Proceed to the lobby, a beachy/shabby-chic haven that we all wish our apartment looked like. Longboards for rent. Whitewashed wood accents. A feathery dreamcatcher. Can we move in? No? A staycation it is, then. Keys in hand, our staycay crew made their way to Moonlight Suite #6. Stopping for Rekorderlig on the way, obviously. Bags unpacked and Nicole Miller floss in full effect, THE STAYCATIONERS headed back out for a little fun in the sun.
BREAKING NEWS: The Montauk Beach House has just launched their breakfast menu. How convenient. Our STAYCATIONERS chowed down on watermelon and feta salad, breakfast burritos, and the works in the comfort of a poolside cabana. Time for a shopping break.
MBH currently plays home to a Miansai pop-up in the form of an über-cute Airstream peddling wares from handcrafted jewelry to sunglasses and other necessary accessories. Let’s face it, it’s a photoshoot waiting to happen. We may or may not be obsessed with their signature hook cuffs and wrap bracelets, available at any Miansai location as well as online. Visit the traveling wonder through June 21st.
On the more permanent front, Poolside Collective has just set up shop…poolside. Curators of cool Ashleigh Hults and Lee Ann Bulgin bring their pool-inspired provisions to the sunbathing crowd, from Crap Eyewear to palm tree-adorned basketballs and summertime threads. Look forward to a killer calendar of events by these boss babes all summer long. Get it, gals.
What’s a staycay without a food tour of the hotel’s neighboring hotspots. Leave it to THE STAYCATIONERS to scout out the best of the best, starting with Tacombi’s La Brisa. Seared catch of the day, anyone? Our other honorable mention includes HARBOR, AKA wallpaper heaven.
Back to the bungalow for our sunkissed staycationers. The claw foot tub calleth their names.
