Actress Cristine Reyes will not be taking a break after “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin”, her hit teleserye with Gerald Anderson and Dawn Zulueta, wrapped up last Friday. The controversial star is set to appear on the fantasy-drama series “Honesto” starting Wedenesday as Marie, the latest addition to the cast.

Reyes said she doesn’t mind not spending some downtime after BNLKM. She added that she’d rather work while there are opportunities coming her way.

“Mas gusto ko na ’yung walang pahinga kaysa puro pahinga. Kasi, if ever naman na marami akong trabaho, nakakapag-request naman ako like for example, meron akong abroad ’pag may work ako do’n, nakakapag-request naman ako sa Viva (her management) na puwedeng mag-extend like 2 days, pinapayagan naman nila ako, hindi naman sila mahigpit,” Cristine said.

In “Honesto,” Cristine will portray the role of a nurse who takes care of the comatose Diego Layer (played by Paulo Avelino). It will be remembered that Diego was beaten by Cleto (Nonie Buencamino), upon the orders of his own father, Hugo Layer (Joel Torre), when he tried to stop the two scoundrels from taking the gold from Sitio Katapatan.

Cristine refused to reveal whether she will be a bida or kontrabida in the series but added that her character will a major influence in Diego’s life.

Apart from “Honesto,” Cristine is also starring in the upcoming romantic drama film, “When the Love Is Gone,” with Gabby Concepcion, Alice Dixson, Andi Eigenmann and Jake Cuenca. The film was based on Danny Zialcita’s 1983 hit movie, “Nagalit ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi,” starring Dindo Fernando, Gloria Diaz and Eddie Garcia.

“When the Love Is Gone” is set for a November 23, 2013 release. Andoy Ranay directs. Watch the trailer below:
