FOUR NIGHTS IN SAN FRANCISCO

California! My husband and I have always wanted to visit but haven’t had the opportunity until now. After our trip, we don’t know why we waited so long!

CHECKING INTO HOTEL ZELOS / ACCOMMODATIONS

Arriving late on Thursday evening, we took a Lyft car to our home for the weekend, Hotel Zelos. Pulling up to the entrance, the building is chic and welcoming. Definitely, an upscale boutique hotel (my favorite kind!) that is close to many great spots/attractions in San Francisco. The check-in was very quick and the concierge was extremely personable and pleasant. Their medium-blue suits and plaid bow ties added to the charm of the ambiance. The lobby has a modern luxury and slightly industrial feel complete with black leather chairs, Edison lights, patterned wood floors, and stainless steel. Even the elevators’ style mirrored the lobby.

Hotel Zelos’ Lobby

Traveling through the long hall on the 7th floor, the ambiance continued: lovely dark gray wallpaper, modern lighting, and black painted doors. We stayed in room 714, a Luxury Spa King room overlooking streets full of mid and high-end shops, cable cars, and restaurants (only about a 2 min walk to the Starbucks that we could see from our window!).

DETAILS OF THE LUXURY SPA KING ROOM AT HOTEL ZELOS

Hotel Zelos was celebrating their One Year Anniversary during our stay and you could definitely tell that these rooms are only one-year-old. The room was in pristine condition with unique modern and funky decor. To our surprise, Hotel Zelos welcomed us with a delicious meat and cheese platter, VOSS waters, a handwritten note, and doggy treats (Note: Zelos is pet-friendly! However, ended up leaving our pups at home so they got to enjoy the treats when we picked them up after our trip!)!

Hotel Zelos – Luxury Spa King Room

Desk, chair, TV, dresser, and mini “honor” bar (inside the TV stand/dresser)

Fun and modern decor with a comfortable bed and super clean linens. Ample power outlets to charge all your electronics!

Sitting area by window with view of San Francisco streets

Pattern play. Love all the grey pattern mixing here! Look at that adorable animal print carpet!

Modern art at desk

Large bathroom with granite counters, adjustable magnifying vanity mirror, amazing smelling bath products, and ample space for two people to get ready at once

Large luxury soaking tub for two. This was amazing after walking miles each day! Stand up shower was perfectly sized and had no trouble summoning the hot water I require.

As you can tell by the photos, everything was impeccably clean and very comfortable. We loved the unique decor and little details that Hotel Zelos put into the room!

DIRTY HABIT RESTAURANT AND BAR

Dirty Habit is a restaurant on the 5th floor of Hotel Zelos. It has a swanky, lounge-like atmosphere which coincides with the overall hotel style. Many people come from all over California and beyond to visit this restaurant. The menu is well thought out and will appeal to those with high-end taste. Being breakfast lovers, we opted to visit Dirty Habit for brunch. The food was amazing and we left with full bellies. Lol.

PARKING AT HOTEL ZELOS

During our stay, we also partnered with Audi to review their Audi on demand service (stay tuned for the upcoming blog post!). The pretty little Audi S5 Cabriolet needed a home when it wasn’t in use and thankfully Hotel Zelos had the solution: a parking garage in their basement! Don’t be fooled by the words “garage” and “basement,” though, because as with everything at Hotel Zelos, a lot of thought was put into it. If your wait time is long (ours was always speedy), you can relax in the decorated waiting area on the sofa and wait for your car to be brought to you. The parking system is well thought out and works well. You have the option to call the Valet’s to tell them when you will be picking up your car or just head to the basement without notice. Since Kevin and I do a lot spontaneous things on vacation, we opted for the second option every time.

LOCATION

Hotel Zelos is a 3-minute walk from the Powell Street BART rail station and 5 minutes from the galleries, museums, and theaters at Yerba Buena Gardens. Add in a Starbucks Coffee within a 1-minute walk and Union Square (shopping center) only a 5-minute walk away, this hotel is centrally located and in one of the best spots in San Francisco!

THE VERDICT

Our stay was wonderful and we truly didn’t want to leave. Hotel Zelos has amazing accommodations and staff. Their service is top-notch and they made us feel right at home. We definitely recommend Hotel Zelos to all of our friends and family and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Perfect for: Couples, families with pre-teen and teenage children, business travel
