Let’s talk Christmas party prep! I switch out my home decor all year long, and at Christmas hanging things on the walls, mantle, windows, etc. is heightened. I used to spend too much time trying to figure out where I could put things without adding holes to our walls. To say the least it was a challenge. Now with Command™ Brand products, I put things pretty much anywhere I want in our home without the stress of damaging the surface.

Every Christmas I host a few Christmas parties. This means Christmas party prep and hanging things on the walls, and other surfaces. For this Christmas craft party, I needed to hang a number of decorations inside and to hang Christmas lights outside.  Here’s how I did it!

How To Hang Decorations On A Table

I have a white table that I love to set up treats and sweets on when we’re hosting. I’m always hanging things on it or off of it and I want them to stay in place. You never want your decorations to fall halfway through a party and when you’re hosting kids it can happen. {grin} So I use these Command™ Clear Mini Hooks. They’re almost invisible and they never damage my table.

How To Hang Decorations On A Wall

In addition to decorating the table, I like to take the decorations up to the wall. In the old days before Command™ Brand I was always trying to use existing nail holes, hiding holes when the party was done and getting those looks from my husband. {wink} When I discovered Command, it was literally a party changer. Now I could hang things anywhere I wanted almost without limit.

For things like paper fans, they look best in bunches and I personally like a asymmetrical table. Why? That’s easy. Perfect symmetry is more expensive and harder to photograph. {wink} So to bundle decorations, I start with placing my table on the wall I plan to use and hanging one fan. Once I like it’s position I just start to overlap them. Use multiple colors and multiple sizes for the best effect. And to hang them, I choose to use Command™ Clear Deco Clips. They come with 40 clips and 48 adhesives to a box, more than enough for a party or two.

How To Hang Christmas Lights

Next on my party prep list is to hang Christmas lights outdoors. In my opinion, no Christmas party is complete without them. So even though we’re living in a rental this year (we just moved and we’re building a house!), we have to hang lights. As you can imagine, we have to be very careful about the house walls and exterior, so Command™ Outdoor Light Clips to the rescue.

One box of light clips worked great for 25 ft of lights on the deck. I had to move one and the paint looked great underneath… damage-free holiday! Yay!

Hang Damage Free

So to recap, decorate damage-free this year and pick up your Command Brand supplies at Wal-Mart. I used:

Command™ Clear Deco Clip

Command™ Clear Mini Hooks

Command™ Outdoor Light Clips

You’ll see a Command™ Brand display that will likely look a lot like this one. In my local Wal-Mart, there is a big selection in the hardware section of the store.
