Today is the official launch date of Vivo V5 Plus in Malaysia. Vivo Malaysia has unveiled the company’s latest smartphone that focused on dual front-facing cameras.
Apparently the dual front cameras are used for selfie purposes. The camera setup is a combination of a 20MP IMX376 1/2.78″ sensor with f/2.0 aperture plus 5P lens system, and a 8 MP f/2.0 camera for depth information. It is able to capture bokeh effect selfie shot that can be produced into higher quality pictures.
In terms of specifications, the V5 Plus offers a 5.5 inch Full HD display portected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable storage. Powering up the device is a 3,160 mAh capacity battery with fast charging support.
Its main camera uses a 16 megapixel f/2.0 aperture sensor supported with a LED flash, and 4K video recording. It is further protected with a fingerprint scanner and running FunTouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Surprisingly, the V5 Plus also adopts an all-metal construction with redesigned antenna lines that is identical to the latest iPhone series. There’s also a built-in custom-made AK4376 dedicated Hi-Fi audio chip which provides a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 115dB.
The Vivo V5 Plus’s body dimensions are 152.58 x 74 x 7.26 mm, and weighing in at 158.6g. It comes in gold color and will be sold at RM1799 in the Malaysian market.
