MIRI: The 12th Miri Trade Fair (Mitraf 12) at Permaisuri Imperial City Mall was launched by Mayor Adam Yii yesterday.

The four-day trade fair, jointly organised by See Hua Marketing Sdn Bhd (SHM) ,Permaisuri Imperial City Mall and The Imperial Mall received an overwhelming participation with a total 90 exhibitors.

The fair showcases products like electronic and electrical items, furniture and bedding, kitchen and sanitary wares, tools and equipment, home improvements, security solutions, property development, general trading, food beverage, information technology, higher education consultancies to beauty and slimming products, travels, apparels, pastry making demonstration and so on.

The mayor lauded SHM ,Permaisuri Imperial City Mall and The Imperial Mall for organising the trade fair saying it was a very good platform to promote tourism here.

“The primary driving force of tourism promotion development relies heavily on the private sector and the public sector will always help facilitate towards bringing out the best of Miri,” he said.

Among those present during the launch were organizing chairperson Money Chieng and Pearl Ting, Mitraf planner & Miri Assistant Branch Manager cum Marketing Manager Nicky Chua, Managing Director of United Fusion Sdn Bhd Tiong Sie Miew, CL Khoon Electronics Sdn Bhd Finance Director Ho Chong Fung, Permaisuri Imperial City Mall & Imperial Mall Manager Derek Ling, SHM Branch Manager Wong Kee Mee, Boulevard Group CEO Don Yew Hoon, Boulevard Hypermarket & Departmental Store Sdn bhd Managing Director Raymond Lim and Senior Citizens Service Centre (PPWT) chairman Yew Chew Seng.

The four-day trade fair is packed with various activities for both adulte and children.

Parents can bring their children to the fair and meet their favorite cartoon mascots this Saturday from 12 noon to 8pm.

Among the highlights of the fair are the special 2-hour Boulevard Rush co-organised by Boulevard Hypermarket & Departmental Store (The Imperial Mall) this Saturday at 10.30am and the Datuk Sebastian Ting Challenge Cup Robotics competition on Sunday at 3pm.

Meanwhile, members of the public can also go to See Hua Group’s booth to subscribe to its epaper / print newspaper.

There will be a grand lucky draw on the final day at 8pm where visitors who spend a minimum of RM300 deposit/booking fee on motor vehicle/property or RM100 within the same day at participating booths, even with multiple receipts, can register at the See Hua service counter for the lucky draw.

Mitraf 12 is endorsed by Miri City Council and opens from 10am to 10pm. Admission is free.
