PUTRAJAYA: Two federal court judges, Datuk Seri Abu Samah Nordin and Datuk Zainun Ali are among 1,524 recipients of 2015 federal awards, decorations and medals in conjunction with the official birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah yesterday.

Abu Samah and Zainun were among 24 who were conferred the Panglima Setia Mahkota (P.S.M) which carries the title Tan Sri.

Among the recipients were Health Ministry secretary-general Datuk Farida Mohd Ali, Tourism and Culture Ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Ong Hong Peng, International Trade and Industry secretary-general Datuk Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria.

Also conferred the PSM were Education Service Commission chairman Datuk Haili Dolhan, Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib, UNITAB Medic Sdn Bhd chairman Tengku Abdullah Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar, member of Bank Negara Malaysia Board of Directors Datuk Oh Siew Nam and Farmers’ Organisation Authority chairman Datuk Zainal Dahalan.

Sime Darby Berhad group chief operating officer Datuk Seri Abd Wahab Maskan, Jesselton Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Chu Sui Kiong, NV Multi Corporation Bhd founder Datuk Kong Hon Kong, Phyto Science Sdn Bhd chief executive officer and founder Datuk Seri Lai Teck Peng and LBS Bina Holdings Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Seri Lim Hock San.

Other PSM recipients were BHL Group of Companies president and advisor Datuk Seri Lim Huah Leong, Malaysian Allied Health Sciences Academy Sdn Bhd (MAHSA) pro-chancellor and executive chairman Datuk Prof Dr Mohamed Haniffa Abdullah, A&M Realty Bhd executive chairman Datuk Ir Ng Boon Thong @ Ng Thian Hock, KPJ Healthcare Bhd corporate advisor Datin Paduka Siti Sa’diah Sh Bakir and See Hoy Chan Holdings Group director Datuk (Dr) Teo Chiang Liang.

Apart from that, PSM was also conferred on Air Force chief General Datuk Seri Roslan Saad, UMNO central political bureau member/Putra World Trade Centre chairman Datuk Seri Alies Anor Abdul, MIC vice-president III Datuk Balakrishnan V.Sinnayah, and MCA treasurer-general Datuk Seri Kuan Peng Ching @ Kuan Peng Soon.

Fifty-two people were awarded the Panglima Jasa Negara (P.J.N) which carries the title ‘Datuk’, among them were the Malaysian High Commissioner to Singapore Datuk Husni Zai Yaacob, Commercial CID director Datuk Seri Mortadza Nazarene, Internal Security and Public Order Department director Datuk Muhammad Fuad Abu Zarim and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) vice-chancellor Datuk Prof Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali.

Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) secretary-general Lok Yim Pheng, Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation chief executive officer Datuk Dr Wong Lai Sum, Kuala Lumpur City Hall director-general Datuk Mhd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz.

There were four recipients of the Panglima Setia Diraja (P.S.D) which carries the title ‘Datuk’, namely the Prime Minister’s Department (JPM) Ceremonial and International Conference Secretariat Division secretary Kamis Samin and JPM Internal Audit Division secretary Mariam Kholidah Zulkifi.

Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital senior consultant Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan, and Defence Ministry Assistant Chief Of Staff Of Member Service Maj. Gen Datuk Azizan Md Delin.

A total of 36 people were awarded the Johan Mangku Negara (J.M.N), among them were ESSCom Defence Component director Maj. Gen. Datuk Masrani Paiman, Civil Defence Department director-general Datuk Zaitun Ab Samad, Sabah police commissioner Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman, Prime Minister’s Department Public Private Partnership Unit senior director Amirudin Abd Rahman and Makkal Sakti vice-chairman II V. Gopala Krishnan.

Finance Ministry Remuneration Policy, Public Money and Management Services Division deputy secretary Abd Wahid Ahmad was among 90 recipients of the Johan Setia Mahkota (J.S.M).

The Johan Setia Diraja (J.S.D) was awarded to Istana Negara Ceremonial Division assistant Grand Chamberlain Azuan Effendy Zairakithnaini.

There were 256 recipients for the Kesatria Mangku Negara (K.M.N) award, among them were the Malaysian Consul in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abd Razak Khan Abbasi, Customs Department deputy director (GST Division) Posiah Abu and Sepang police chief ACP Mohd Yusoff Awang.

Meanwhile, the Kesatria Setia Diraja (K.S.D) was conferred on three recipients including Haslinda @ Azlina Mohammad Tajudin, Ceremonial and International Conference Secretariat Division deputy secretary.

Meanwhile two news executives of the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), Ayu Dalita Pendek and Nur Syuhada Shamsuddin were among 411 recipients of the Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN). Also awarded the AMN was national athlete Mohd Jironi Riduan who won two gold medals in 800 metres and 1,500 metres at the 27th SEA Games in Naypitaw, Myanmar.

A total 585 individuals were conferred the Pingat Pangkuan Negara (PPN) and 62 more people were awarded the Bentara Setia Diraja (BSD). — Bernama
