BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: In conjunction with University Brunei Darussalam’s success in gaining a place in the Symonds Quacquerelli Asia (QS) ranking, UBD last Thursday night held mass prayers, recitation of Surah Yaasin and Doa Kesyukuran (Thanksgiving) ceremony at the UBD Mosque, ©BRUDIRECT.COM reported.
Among those present were the Minister of Development, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Suyoi Hj Osman, as Deputy Chairman of UBD Council; the Minister of Home Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Awg Othman, as a member of the UBD Council; the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Vice-Chancellor of UBD, Dato Paduka Dr Hj Zulkarnain Hj Hanafi and the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications, Awg Abd Mutalib Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Hj Md Yusof, as member of the UBD Council.
The ceremony began with the mass Fardhu Maghrib Prayer, followed by the Sunat Hajat Prayer and Fardhu Isyak Prayer, and then continued with the recitation of Surah Yaasin, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran.
