All five programmes will lead to an honours degree at the Asia Metropolitan University main campus in Cheras.
Physiotherapy is one of the fastest growing fields in Sarawak’s healthcare industry and Diploma in Physiotherapy holders can join various private and public hospitals, start their own clinics or work with sports teams, gyms, corporations etc.
Medical Lab Technologists produced by MGC Kuching are highly trained professionals concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases through the usage of various clinical laboratory tests.
Environmental Health (EH) focuses on the study of the environment and how changes can affect human health.
Diploma in Environmental Health holders can be employed as assistant environmental health officer with grade U29 in government settings.
EH students are given a lot of hands-on opportunities during the practical of approximately eight months during the three-year study.
Diploma in Healthcare enables students to be well-rounded because it focuses on both basic sciences and management.
Students will spend semester nine posted to hospitals, labs, government offices, clinic, etc.
For the Foundation in Health Sciences, 100 per cent scholarships await science stream students who obtain 6A’s and above in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), 70 per cent for 5A’s and 50 per cent scholarships for students with 4A’s and below.
It is a preliminary one-year programme that gives students an insight into health sciences, customised to prepare students for admission into the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Pharmacy and allied health degrees.
