When it comes to health and wellness, YouTube is one of my favorite resources for finding inspiration and staying motivated. There are so many great channels out there that allow you to stay fit and healthy from your own home without spending money on a gym membership or hiring a personal chef.

It’s also a lot easier to follow along with workouts when there’s a video explanation, and I love seeing all of the ingredients come together in a recipe with a live tutorial. Plus, videos can really allow a person’s personality shine through in a way that blog posts can’t always do.

Since it can be difficult to sift through the depths of YouTube to find good health and wellness channels, I’ve compiled a list of people I watch when I’m in need of some health inspiration. Obviously we all follow different philosophies and principles when it comes to health, so I’ve included a bit of everything from lifestyle to fitness to nutrition that I think we can all enjoy.

This is not meant to be an all-inclusive list, but rather some channels that I absolutely love and watch often. Watch a few videos from these channels and subscribe if you find someone you love!

Lifestyle Channels

1 | Madeleine Shaw

Madeleine Shaw is a health coach, yoga teacher, and author, and I love her positive attitude and practical tips. She covers a whole range of health-related topics such as snacks ideas, sleep tips, and stress-relief practices. She shares wonderful behind-the-scenes look at how she manages to balance all of the different aspects of her life with a busy schedule, and you can tell that she just has such a zest and love of life about her.

2 | Holistic Habits

On her channel, she shares great tips about creating a natural skincare routine, practicing self-care, and natural ways to deal with anxiety and stress. There’s something about this girl that makes me just want to become her BFF, and I guarantee her personality will put you in a good mood.

3 | Zanna Van Dijk

Zanna Van Dijk is basically wonderwoman. She’s a personal trainer, fitness blogger/vlogger/model, and founder of the #girlgains movement. On her YouTube channel, she shares her workout routines, nutrition tips, travel vlogs, and tips for living a balanced life. I follow Zanna on practically every social media platform, and she’s probably one of the hardest working people you’ll come across.

4 | Carly Rowena

Carly Rowena is a personal trainer and fitness blogger who makes videos about living a healthy lifestyle, weight loss tips, and workout routines. This lovely lady has so much energy and she’s always on the go, but somehow she manages to fit all of that healthy goodness into her daily life. She also keeps it real and shares those moments when she’s feeling overwhelmed and how she deals with them.

5 | Niomi Smart

Niomi Smart is a lifestyle blogger and vlogger who shares healthy recipes and fitness tips, and the occasional beauty tutorial and style lookbook. She shares lots of what I eat in a day videos as well as her workout routines, tips for marathon training, and simple ways to live a more healthier life. Niomi radiates with positivity and her down-to-earth personality always makes me want to watch her videos over and over again.

Fitness Channels

6 | Yoga With Adriene

If you don’t know who Adriene is yet, she’s quickly become everyone’s favorite yoga teacher. Her relatable personality, sense of playfulness, and just overall bad-assness makes her yoga videos so fun to do. If you’re someone who’s had doubts about trying yoga in the past, I highly recommend you try one of Adriene’s vids. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced yogi, there’s something for everyone on this channel.

7 | Blogilates

I have to thank Cassey Ho for being the person who ultimately inspired me to start my own health journey when I was in college. She started her YouTube channel focusing on pilates videos, but now you can find anything from yoga to HIIT to dance workouts on her channel. If you find you get bored with workouts easily or you need someone to cheer you on, Cassey will make it extremely fun for you.

8 | Fitness Blender

Daniel & Kelli are a husband and wife team who post day-by-day workout programs to help you get a strong, healthy body. If I’m ever in the mood to work out but I’m not sure what to do, I just scroll through their videos and always end up enjoying whatever I choose. They have videos on everything from HIIT, cardio, strength training, kettlebell, pilates, circuit training, bodyweight, yoga, and low impact workouts, so there’s something for everyone.

Nutrition/Food

11 | Joyous Health

Joy McCarthy is a holistic nutritionist, author, and blogger who I’ve been following for quite some time now because of her down-to-earth personality and overall joy for healthy living – she really does live up to her name! Along with sharing easy-to-make recipes and nutrition tips, Joy also shares practical advice for staying healthy and leading a more natural lifestyle.

12 | Deliciously Ella

Most people probably know Ella Woodward from her massively popular blog and recipe books, but she also has a YouTube channel where she walks through her recipes, shares tips on living a plant-based diet, and answers health-related questions from her blog readers. I’ve always loved her recipes because of how easy they are to make, and most of the ingredients she uses are readily available at any grocery store.

13 | Lean Secrets

Brenda Leigh Turner shares tips and tricks for weight loss on her YouTube channel. Even if you’re not looking to lose weight, Brenda has great insight into things like leaky gut, metabolic typing, carb cycling, and other interesting nutritional topics you may or may not be familiar with. I love her upbeat personality, and she makes confusing nutritional information a lot easier to understand.

14 | Raw. Vegan. Not Gross.

Even if you’re not a raw vegan (or vegan at all for that matter, which I am not), we can all appreciate Laura Miller’s strange and wonderful personality. I mainly watch her videos because I think she’s absolutely hilarious, but her recipes are also super creative and interesting to me since she takes common recipes and turns them into raw masterpieces.

15 | JessBeautician

Jess is not a wellness blogger per se, but she has the most creative and delicious looking plant-based recipes I’ve ever come across on the internet. I would gladly hire her as my personal chef in a heartbeat. Her what I eat in a day videos are always so inspiring to me, and I wish I had her innovative skills in the kitchen.
