Manchester United had its new firepower on display Friday as the team’s two big offseason signings played together for the first time. It was a successful debut, as the Red Devils topped Southampton 2-0 at Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba made his return to Manchester United, and fellow offseason pickup Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice in the victory. Despite a shaky first touch with the club, Pogba settled in and had a solid performance.
