During our recent visit to Lisbon we stayed at the stylish and wonderfully located Brown's Central Hotel, part of the Brown's Hotel Group in Lisbon which includes three beautiful hotels. The hotel was beautifully decorated, our room was stunning and well equipped and the location could not have been more perfect to explore all Lisbon has to offer! We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful during our stay and we loved spending our evenings relaxing in the very chic, stylish hotel bar and lounge. The hotel is a unique and welcoming boutique hotel that is both comfortable and cosy as well as luxurious and modern!

Brown's Central Hotel is as it's name suggests, located in central Lisbon! We loved the location and found it really easy to walk to all the main sights in the city including Castelo de Sao Jorge, Alfama, Barrio Alto, Praca do Comercio and is literally just around the corner from Rossio Square and The Santa Justa Elevator! The location was perfect and really allowed us to explore central Lisbon in great depth!

The hotel was really easy to find and the staff couldn't have been any more welcoming! As soon as we'd completed the check in formalities we were offered a traditional Portuguese welcome drink which was delicious and which we enjoyed in the bar area. Brown's Central Hotel has a really stylish, relaxing bar and lounge area that is the perfect to enjoy a drink, listen to some cool music and relax on their incredibly cosy and comfortable lounges!

We loved Brown's Central Hotel from the moment we stepped through the front doors and stopped to appreciate the beautiful, stylish lobby, bar and lounge areas. The combination of bold coloured lounges, unique artwork, beautiful well chosen books, the funky bar and the beautiful natural light which streams into the room creates a beautiful space for guests to relax, have a drink, read or simply just enjoy the beautiful decor and wonderful atmosphere. We felt comfortable, welcome and at home within moments of stepping through the front doors of the hotel and really enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The lobby also has a computer with a printer that guests are able to use and which we really appreciated as we needed to check in for our flight to Barcelona and print our tickets!

Brown's Central Hotel has five room types and we stayed in one of their gorgeous suites. The room was beautifully styled and we loved every aspect of the incredibly well thought out decor! The room was extremely spacious, very modern and exceptionally stylish. We loved the beautiful, comfortable red leather chairs, the small dining table, the classic room phone and old school radios next to our bed and of course the beautiful, comfortable bed with luxuriously soft linens and pillows. Our room also had tea and coffee making facilities, a minibar and a Mac computer which was a very nice addition to the room! We had our own temperature controls and loved the huge choice of lighting options in the room. Being on the second floor we loved opening the windows and watching and listening to the busy pedestrian street below during the day. We also were very grateful as our windows were soundproof and blocked out any outside noise as soon as they were shut and the blackout curtains did their job fantastically during the evenings. Our suite was stunning, exceptionally comfortable and very quickly felt like our home away from home in Lisbon.

We were so excited when we found out that our suite also had its own kitchenette! Whilst we love eating out, when we're on the road for over 100 days we jump at the opportunity to stay in and cook ourselves a delicious meal. On our second night in the hotel we returned to the hotel after a tour in the dark and in the rain and couldn't think of anything worse than dressing up and going out for dinner so we popped out to the nearest supermarket and whipped up a gourmet feast in the room! We were so happy as it has cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery, glasses and everything you could need to cook up a great meal in your room. All the equipment supplied was spotlessly clean and of the highest quality. The kitchenette was tucked away to the side of the room which meant it didn't impose on the room either which was great!

Our beautiful, marble bathroom was spacious and had a rainfall shower along with towels and complimentary toiletries.

Breakfast is served in the dining room at the hotel which is just off the bar area and is a relaxed affair. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide selection of items on offer including cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh bread, freshly baked pastries, cold meats and cheeses, salad, hot breakfast items and tea and coffee. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and ensured the buffet was always kept topped up!

We had dinner one night of our stay around the corner from the hotel at Brown's Bistro. Brown's Bistro was a really cool, stylish and relaxed bistro and bar which had a great atmosphere and was filled with locals and tourists alike during our time there. The service was fantastic and attentive throughout our evening and we were lucky enough to have a great table with super comfy lounges! We began our evening with drinks and I chose a delicious daquiri cocktail which came served in jar which we've noticed is a new trendy, popular way to serve drinks these days whilst Dan had a glass of red wine which was recommended to him by the staff and was very happy with the wine and the way it paired perfectly with his steak.

The speciality dishes at Brown's Bistro are their burgers and their selection of mouth-wateringly good burgers was impressive! I chose their signature burger, the Portuguese Burger as the manager said it was fantastic and certainly a favourite! Dan had a tenderloin steak and was recommended to have it served with Brown's very own bistro sauce which was absolutely delicious and he was very impressed! Both our meals were fantastic and very generous portion sizes and we also loved the wonderfully seasoned chips! It was a delicious meal and both our plates were completely empty by the time we'd finished! We couldn't fit in a dessert each so shared a caramel almond cake which was wonderfully light, soft and moist and was the perfect way to finish our evening of fantastic food! Brown's Bistro is located just around the corner from Brown's Central Hotel and is very central in Lisbon, so if you are looking for a relaxed, stylish venue for a great meal be sure to check them out when you are in Lisbon!

We had such a fantastic time in Lisbon at Brown's Central Hotel. The hotel was refreshingly unique and stylish and the staff at the hotel couldn't have been any more welcoming, helpful or friendly during our stay. Our room was luxurious, beautifully styled, well equipped and was a wonderful haven to relax in after big days of sightseeing! We'd highly recommend a stay at Brown's Central Hotel or any of the Brown's Hotels in Lisbon and will certainly return to the hotel during our next visit to Lisbon!
