Tea Forte's New Range

The Tea Forté iced tea brewing pitcher plus the Bali Breeze cocktails ready to be enjoyed.

The humble cup of tea is having a moment. Australia may be a nation of self-confessed coffee addicts, but in the last 12 months tea has emerged from the shadows to centre stage with tea parlours, bars, and extensive tea leave combinations proving popular with hot drink lovers.

But sipping a traditional or exotic cuppa isn't for everyone in the summer heat, which is why luxury brand Tea Forté has dedicated a whole range of its products to the iced tea trend. Evoking the feel of balmy picnics and stylish garden parties, iced tea is a refreshing and refined drink to quench thirst in the final months of the hot season.

And because iced tea always tastes better with a little kick, Tea Forte's cocktail recipe will put the fun in your pitcher this summer.

Tea Forté's 'Tea-over-Ice' can also be enjoyed in its signature pitcher ($59.95 for two), which steeps hot tea in the lid and pours the finished drink over ice in the lower pitcher ready for serving. The brand has created larger versions of its pyramid teabag infusers - perfect for brewing 700mls of fresh tea for summer get togethers - available in traditional ceylon gold black tea, and the fruity ginger pear flavour ($19.95 for five).

Tea Forté's iced tea range is available online at www.teaforte.com.au.

Red Wine Gone

There's no doubt that the drinkers amongst us will be sharing more than a few glasses of red wine over the Easter break. Here's something that actually works and is available for $10 at any Dan Murphy's.

Wines

For meat dishes like roast lamb you should look at a full-bodied red that will complement the meat. A perfect example is the recently released 2012 Houghton Jack Mann Cabernet Sauvignon (RRP $115)

Want something other than lamb? If you're tucking into some slow cooked pulled Chipotle beef try some a 2013 Mud House Claim 431 Pinot Noir (RRP $30), it’s elegant and fruit forward yet has a subtle spice to it, making it a perfect match for the spicy, smoky chipotle characteristics in the beef

Banrock Station Red Moscato (RRP $10) pairs up well with something like a chocolate cheesecake, with it's flavours of fresh strawberries and delicate fairy floss.

Of course you'll be wanting some sparkling with any seafood dishes so try out the 2005 House of Arras Grand Vintage (RRP $70).

Match a lively and racy riesling like the 2014 Hardys HRB Riesling (RRP $30) with a dish of oven roasted salmon and steamed greens. The riesling’s acidity will be the perfect foil for the richness of the fish.

If in fact a cheese board with a mature cheddar and soft, creamy brie is all you need this Easter, then try pairing it with a classic Frankland River red, such as the 2013 Houghton Crofters Cabernet Sauvignon (RRP $19)

If you're looking for something with a strong fruity note than the Limited Edition Paul Louis PINK Sparkling is a good way to go. Available at your local independent seller or buy online at http://paullouis.com.au/ for $24.95

All these wines are available where all good wines are sold.
