It's time for my monthly A Day In the Life hosted by Manda of Break the Sky! Bloggers document their daily life for a day. You can then include it in the month's linkup to share at Break the Sky. It's a really fun way to find out about other bloggers I didn't know about before! I decided to choose a really earlier date this month as I knew I'd be pretty busy with work to even think about documenting anything. This month, I decided to document Sunday, April 6th!

7am: I had a nightmare that I lost my beloved USB stick. I keep my budget and my blog schedule/ideas on this USB key. It is MY LIFE. So it was a nightmare! In my nightmare, just as I thought it was impossibly hopeless to find, I hear a song coming from nowhere. I realize that I'm dreaming and I WILL myself to get up to escape my nightmare. When I do get out of bed, I find my parents are watching TV downstairs rather loudly (hence the music I heard). I yelled from up the stairs, "TURN DOWN THE VOLUME!!" Then I roll back to bed huffing about kids these days...

9am: I was supposed to wake up at 8am or 8:30am but I accidentally slept in! OOPS. The first thing is check on my make-up brushes. I washed them the night before and wanted to make sure they were drying nicely and the bristles were not bent. They seemed okay so I hurried to get ready.

Since all my brushes were drying, I decided to keep it simple. I actually found a brush I had missed in the wash and "made it work." Just something quick: BB Cream, Matte Powder to keep my face from being shiny, matte eye shadow on my eyelids followed by charcoal eyeliner. (I'm practicing how to use this.) And then a swipe or two of CoverGirl's Clump Crusher. I decide to put my hair up in a bun with two hair pins to keep it secure.

10am: WE'RE LATE!! The parents and I stop by at a local florist to pick up two small potted flowers. One yellow and one red. Personally, I thought the yellow one was much prettier than the red one.

11am: The parents and I met up with Panchi at the cemetery. Qingming Festival fell on Saturday, April 5th this year. The Qingming Festival is also known as Tomb Sweeping Day. On the day of Qingming, you're supposed to go out to your ancestors' tombs to clean and pay your respects. As it was raining/snowing on Saturday, we decided to come on Sunday instead. Saturday was a really lovely day actually. The sun was out and the temperature finally felt like spring. Even grass was becoming green again.

12pm: After our visit to the cemetery where we paid our respects to my grandparents, my parents, Panchi, his girlfriend (who joined us for lunch) and I went out for dim sum. We ended up going to a restaurant that I HATE. I think their food is mediocre, their service is slow and bad. Worst yet, they're ALWAYS packed so you always wait for a table. The reason why they're packed despite horrible service and food? They're cheap. Mom and Dad likes for this reason. The best thing thing was the deep fried squid tentacles.

1pm: After lunch, we said goodbye to Panchi and his girlfriend. We end up going to a few stores including Bulk Barn. Bulk Barn gives awesome $3 off coupons with $10 purchases in the flyer. We got some random things but I also wanted  a small handful of sour jujubes...

2pm: One of our stops while shopping was at Dollarama. I love Dollarama. Seriously. I always end up buying something even if I don't mean to. (I'm practically making Liquid Independence a MILLIONAIRE.) I ended up picking up a box of large ziplock type bags, two Air Wicks for our washrooms, a Wet n Wild top coat (as my Sally Hansen one is starting to get slightly gunky) and some seeds. My parents wanted those. They were selling 3 for a dollar. We picked up seeds for lettuce, squash and green onion.

3pm: Panchi's girlfriend recently came back from a short trip to China. When we met up for lunch, she brought back a tube of nougat for me. I decided to check them out. They were pretty good. Not too sweet and fairly soft so I enjoyed them. I won't be eating them all though. As Mom and Dad are not fans of chewy candy, I brought this to work to share with my colleagues.

4pm: I filled up my candy jar for Omnom! I think he's trying to figure out how to break the jar open... (Yes, this is why I wanted the candy. Yes, I'm an adult. Do not judge me!!)

5pm: I decides to do a quick colour change on my nails. This week I am sporting Gosh's Metallic Purple. I love the colour of this nail polish. It's pink/purple and literally looks like liquid metal when applying on your finger nails.

8pm: I accidentally fall asleep for an hour or so before my Dad wakes me up for dinner. I am groggy and feeling bloated from dim sum. I reject dinner for just a glass of milk and end up writing a few posts for my blog. If you have good eyes, you'll be able to see what posts are coming up later this month. ^__~

9pm: I get ready for shower. My shower routine is pretty simple. Right now, I am using Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Lavender Mint Shampoo & Conditioner as well as the Body Shop's Papaya Body Gel. Once a week, often on the Sunday, I'll also use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub. It smells SO good. I love the citrus scent. It's not overpowering and really wakes me up. I've also implemented using the Body Shop's Olive Oil Body Scrub once a week. It is SO nice. I bought this on Boxing Day and have really fallen in love with it. It's very creamy and moisturizing and the scent is sweet and not too strong. The exfoliating beads aren't too big and coarse that hurts my hand either. LOVE IT. It's my 2nd most beloved product from the Body Shop now next to the Shea Body Butter.

10pm: Time for bed! Before I do though... I double check where my USB flash drive is and put it safely in a zippered pocket in my bag. There there, little USB. You are safe. Mama will protect you.

And that ends another edition of A Day in a Life of The Asian Pear! The next Monthly Blog Link-up is scheduled for May 22nd and I am planning to post mine on the day after. Until then, check out Manda's blog and the other blog's participating in the monthly link-up. Enjoy and I'll see you next time!
