Before Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza became a 'thing' which made the phenomenal AlDub loveteam, Alden was paired with different Kapuso actresses, such as Louise Delos Reyes, Julie Anne San Jose and the now Mrs. Marian Rivera-Dantes.
There's no denying that all if them had built up a great chemistry once paired with the Pambansang Bae. In fact, Alden's fans continue to support him with whoever was partnered to him, as long as he never losses any projects.
Some might not admit it, but we all knew that the Kapuso actor had fewer fans before while he was still new in the industry, so it's no big deal if he doesn't have a permanent love team.
But things had changed. It's not the same anymore like it used to before. The AlDub pair up gathered millons of fans around the globe, which means that there are solid supporters who will defend the two from bashers and haters.
However, some supporters may have already crossed the line. They can't accept anymore if Alden will be paired or seen with a different woman, may it be his friend or a mere companion on one of his mall shows.
This is the reason why Alden's female friends, mostly in the industry, started avoiding him, fearing of being bashed and hated by the AlDub fans.
Kris Bernal became a victim of the hatred, when she posted a photo of her and Alden on her Instagram account while they're at their mall show in the province.
Fans bad-mouthed her, calling her names and been frankly told that they don't want to see Alden being close or paired up with anyone else aside from Maine, the reason why the young star became cautious when she sees Alden.
Even Louise delos Reyes, Alden former loveteam on many TV programs and movies and one of his closest friend even before AlDub, said that she started to make a distance from the actor in fear of getting bashed.
She admitted to one of her interviews that a certain fan gave a ridiculous comment on her Instagram account saying, “Stay Away From Alden”. So when she saw her friend on a recent event, she jokingly told him to stay away from her.
“Niloloko ko siya noong fans day namin sa MOA Arena. ‘O huwag kang didikit sa akin baka awayin ako ng AlDub (laughs)," Louise claimed.
The actress even asked in curiousity, "Wait lang po. Hindi ba puwedeng maging magkaibigan kami?"
With this, it seems that fans are being obssessed and possessive with the split-screen couple, which made them to do this kind of act.
However, some members of AlDub nation denies this allegations, telling netizens that they are professionals and those who bashed the other female stars where posers and just wanted to ruin the good image of the AlDub Nation.
