We are currently looking to fill a full time position in our Atlanta sales office. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this position will be to work with the transportation brokers to bring shippers and carriers together to move truckload and LTL volumes of dry, refrigerated and flatbed cargo. While assisting the transportation brokers with daily operations, a few areas of responsibilities include: • Match invoices to files • Open and sort mail • Review bills of lading for proper signatures and quantities loaded and delivered match, and that there is no damage to cargo listed. • Communicate with brokers regarding any discrepancies found (i.e. shortages or damages) prior to settlement. • Contact carriers to obtain delinquent proof of deliveries. • Contact insurance companies for proper certificates of insurance. • Review all documentation to insure compliance with ALC policy. • Assist with calls regarding A/P and A/R. • Help verify and input invoicing information for shippers and carriers as instructed. Requirements: • Success in this position requires a self-motivated, enthusiastic team player, who excels in a fast-paced environment. • Minimum post high school education preferred, college degree highly desired or equivalent full-time work experience in an office or accounting department. • Basic accounting experience, and/or A/P or A/R experience highly desired. • Excellent and effective communication skills (both verbal and written) • Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic. • Ability to quickly process information. • Effective problem solving and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Quick learner, a logical thinker and team oriented. • Computer literate: Word, Excel, Outlook, Gmail and web browsers.
