As “Closer” remains at the top for a second week with steady increases in points (in particular 143,000 downloads sold, up 23% and 28.6 million streams, up 24%), twenty one pilots post two of their songs in the top 5 this week. It hadn’t happened since Macklemore & Ryan Lewis did it with “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us” in 2013.

Shawn Mendes reaches the top 10 this week with “Treat You Better”(64,000 in digital sales). It’s Mendes’ 2nd top 10 hit following “Stitches,” which peaked at #4.

Frank Ocean debuts at #1 with Blonde, the album sold exclusively as a body of work on iTunes and available for streaming only at Apple Music. Blonde totaled 232,000 copies sold, the third largest debut of 2016 (behind Drake and Beyoncé respectively) and was the second most-streamed album of the week, behind Drake’s Views.

Emerging R&B singer Tory Lanez debuts at #4 with I Told You, which sold 32,000 copies. Lindsey Sterling’s Brave Enough is the new entry at #5 with 45,000 copies sold. Dolly Parton misses the top 10 at #11 with her new album Pure & Simple. The album is, however, top 10 in album sales (20,000 sold).

Beyoncé’s “Hold Up” advances to the top 30, jumping to #29 this week.
