With gains in streaming and sales “Black Beatles” remains at #1 for a second week. The song was streamed 54.1 million times (up 25%) and downloaded 154,000 times (up 7%). It’s the largest streaming sum since Adele’s “Hello” started with over 60 million streams last fall.
A sale pricing to 69 cents and the release of a lyrics video doesn’t help “Starboy” ovcercome “Closer” and they both remain at #3 and #2 respectively. The Weeknd, however, gains by 34% to 84,000 downloads and by 6% in streaming to 24.8 million.

A Tribe Called Quest return to the top of the album chart after 20 years. Their new album debuts at #1 with sales of 112,000. Their previous #1 album was Beats, Rhymes and Life, which was released in 1996.
Leonard Cohens’s You Want It Darker returns to the top 10 at #7, following his death. The album had debuted at #10 a few weeks ago and it sold 28,000 copies (up 188%) this week achieving a new peak.
Sting debuts at #9 with his new album 57th & 9th. The British singer was the protagonist of Bataclan’s re-opening with a special concert on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks that shook Paris on November 13 last year. The album is his 11th top 10 title and sold 28,000 copies in its first week.

Mary J. Blige’s “Thick of It” is up to #10, making it the Hip-Hop/Soul Queen’s first top 10 hit since 2011’s collaboration with Drake, “Mr. Wrong.”
