Arsenal will successfully finish their November challenge if they register a win over Bournemouth this week at the Emirates. November has been Arsenal’s monster under the bed, which always comes out when the team was at their best. And this year was no different.

Their form took a dip and players got injured amidst some very tough fixtures. But, unlike other seasons, Arsenal have quite successfully scraped through them with minimum scratch and they are pretty much in contention for the title too.

After drawing against Tottenham, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, the last game of the month is against AFC Bournemouth, a team who have been very kind to the Gunners, losing all three of their previous fixtures against them. And Gunners will like them to keep it that way.

Arsenal will be looking to come back to winning ways with rivals Chelsea facing a tricky fixture against Tottenham and having a realistic chance of dropping points.

Defence

Arsenal are yet to successfully cope with the absence of Hector Bellerin, who is out until early December and his replacement Carl Jenkinson has been appalling, to say the least. The other three haven’t had a very bright November either. Both Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi has been relatively poor against the big teams and it has been a big worry for Wenger. Nacho Monreal also had a shaky performance against United, while the only positive was Kieran Gibbs.

However, Wenger doesn’t really have any other setup for the back line except for them to improve their performance. We expect the same back four- Jenkinson, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal- to start against Bournemouth.

Peter Cech will take his position between the sticks after remaining an unused substitute in the midweek.
