11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – WBGU Kids Extravaganza (rides, vendors, kids activities etc.)
2 to 3 p.m. – Indoorfins (pop)
3:30 to 5 p.m. – Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons (rockabilliy –alt country)
5:30 to 7 p.m. – Stedic and the Groove (Reggae/R&B)
7:30 to 9 p.m. – Howard and the White Boys (Blues)
9:30 to close – Family Stone w/ the Urban Jazz Coalition (soul/R & B)

LIMA – The Council for the Arts of Greater Lima will close out its 50th year of Concerts in the Park with a free, two-day festival over Labor Day weekend that promises to be a “Family Affair.”
The 50th Anniversary Bash will kick off at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 3 at Faurot Park’s Rotary Pavilion. WBGU Television – the Bowling Green affiliate of PBS – is moving their annual Kids X festival to Lima. The event will feature children’s activities, including music, face-painting, inflatables, local vendors and a chance to meet some of PBS’s favorite characters.
At 2 p.m., the grownups take the stage with a full slate of live music, including the Indoorfins, Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons, Stedic and the Groove, Howard and the White Boys, and closing out the evening, the Family Stone (of Sly and the Family Stone fame) backed by the Urban Jazz Coalition.
The day will also include food trucks from across the region, along with craft and domestic beers and other beverages.
The 50th Anniversary season will end Sunday night with a 7 p.m. performance by the Lima Area Concert Band.

The Concerts in the Parks series began in 1966 as a product of what was then the Lima Area Arts Council. It has continued without pause for the past 50 years.
