Shirts, for us, are all about quality and fit. Both of these things make shirts an actually integral part of our style for 2014. Actually, talking about integral style, has anyone else noticed how shirts are making continued appearances in SS14 fashion shows in Milan and New York this year – Which we have to admit, is great for our style!Looking for shirts is hard, everyone knows the quality shirt-makers based in Jermyn Street, London – but it can be difficult to know which one to go for! Or is that just us?
We decided to take a look at Hawes and Curtis of Jermyn Street, a luxury shirt retailer which now has an equally impressive online presence and following alongside its famous, original store. We both decided to go for some slim fitted shirts as we love the tight, tailored look that they give – but fear not! Hawes and Curtis have four very distinct fits that can fit into your style; extra slim fit, slim fit, tailored and classic fit shirts – its a luxury shirt heaven With regards to colour we decided to go for a light, almost summeresque type of shirts that will look perfect in the sun.. As long as the sun makes an appearance this year!
Thankfully, Hawes and Curtis are known very much for the craftsmanship of their designs and quality cotton they use. For us, a shirt has to be about quality and Hawes and Curtis definitely don’t substitute substance over style. Even in their heritage, of over a whopping 100 years, their quality and cuts have stood out in Jermyn Street. Who doesn’t love a great quality, crisply ironed, fitted shirt? Actually, who doesn’t like a shirt that has been en vogue with Royalty – both past and present! Take a look at some of the awesome shirts we both chose – We have to hand it to Hawes and Curtis for bringing us back our shirt style this year! SS14 style, here we come!
