Hill Robinson recently appointed Kevin Laverty as senior project manager. Laverty will be responsible for new build and major refit projects, working with Karl Hartmann, director of Hill Robinson.
“I am excited to be joining Hill Robinson at what is a very busy time for the projects team, and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead,” Laverty said.
Laverty began his career as an engineering apprentice with a major offshore fabrication contractor and later worked in offshore oil and gas construction, marine engineering, shipbuilding and port equipment in project management. He has worked exclusively in the large luxury yacht sector since 2004. Laverty has acted as owner representative for new build and refit projects, is a full member of the Association for Project Management and has acted as an independent expert witness in arbitration and high court proceedings concerning yacht construction and yacht valuation disputes.
“It’s a great asset to have Kevin on the team and we look forward to working together on the various new build and refit projects,” Hartmann said. “He’s bringing a wealth of experience which will be reflected in the projects and clients’ satisfaction”.
