Being a Guest Author is always fun. You get to share your posts on another Blog that too with your own name and identity. Guest posting feature In Blogger is really useful as it gives a chance to new authors to reproduce their content on a well known Blog, thereby giving a head start to their Blogging career.

So all I'm going to do day is explain the process of joining and writing a Blog as a Guest Author. Let's get started -

Before you can join a blog as Guest Author you must have -

1. An Author invitation E-mail from the Admin of the Blog.
2. A Google (or Gmail) account, which we all have!

Now one more criteria that is desirable for a Guest Author is a Google+ profile. I strongly suggest you to have a Google+ profile before you start Blogging. It will help you to get a Google Authorship verification and you can appear as an verified author with your photo, post and Google+ profile in Google Search results. You can ask the Blog Admin to send the Author Invite to the Gmail associated with your Google+ Profile.

Follow these steps to Join a Blog as Author -

Step 1 - Click the Blogger link inside your Invitation E-mail and Sign in into Blogger with your Google account (preferably the account associated with Google+ profile). Once you log in you'll find the following options -

2. Confirm Your Profile by selecting your Google+ Profile (or you can switch to Blogger profile) option and click Save/Continue at the end of the page. Refer to above screen shot for help.

3. After you confirm your profile you'll be redirected to your Blogger Dashboard -

To create/write a new post click the Create new post button and you'll be directed to the Blogger Post Editor page -

4. You can now start start writing your Post here. The Editor has all necessary tools (highlighted by green rectangle) like Fonts, Images, Links etc. just like our very own Microsoft Word. So you can easily write and edit your post inserting fonts, images and Links.
You can find the Post settings (highlighted by blue rectangle) on your Right sidebar. If you are unsure about the settings such as Label, Search Description etc. then let your Admin handle that. All you have to do is to finish writing your Post, then click Save and Close.
That way your post will be saved as a Draft and your Admin can later Publish it with the correct Settings.
That's it ! You are all set as an Author to start Blogging. All these steps (except Post writing of course) will take hardly 5mins.

If you find this post useful, then do share it with your friends on Facebook.
