When does a Bluetooth speaker cease to be a Bluetooth speaker? Actually, it never does cease to be Bluetooth, but maybe it can cease to sound like Bluetooth. Anyway, that’s the idea behind RIVA’s Turbo X Bluetooth speaker. The Turbo X is a mobile Bluetooth speaker for inside the home, outdoors by the pool or just about anywhere. It’s performance is maximized for a party, movie, or even your favorite video game.

What makes the Turbo X unique is what RIVA calls Trillium—a proprietary Bluetooth audio technology that enlarges audio imaging while allowing the signal power to be reproduced without excessive compression, resulting in immersive sound and clear, powerful bass that will fill a room. There’s also Trillium Surround for enhanced movie/gaming sound and TURBO mode (hence the name) which boosts the audio up to 100 dB. Backed by 45 watts of power, that’s ear-damaging loud.

There are three ADX 60 mm full range drivers and four ADX custom dual piston bass radiators that reproduce more of the musical spectrum than other Bluetooth speakers. Add to that a 26+ hour battery, microphone with echo cancellation for clear voice calls, 3.5 mm input, USB device charging and RIVA’s own iOS and Android Ground Control App, and you have a portable system to challenge anything else available today.

The RIVA Turbo X Bluetooth speaker is on sale now for $349.99 US. See www.rivaaudio.com for more info.
