Ravi Teja alias Ravi Shankar Raju Bhupatiraju is a telugu film actor who is well known for his stardom which came out of his own hard work unless like other stars present now who came with their parents support. He won many awards such as Nandi Special Jury Award in 1999 and 2002 for his performance in the films Nee Kosam and Khadgam and also won the state Nandi Award for best actor in his film Neninthe in 2008.

He is not only a hard worker but also a person with tons of talent. Earlier he used do different kind of films and used to show his versatility and also he is remarked as one of the minimum guarantee hero with his films box office performances. But after some bad failures for his movies, he decided not to experimental movies and decided only to do some mass formulaic commercial movies. Is it audience mistake who didn’t supported when he used to sensible movies or ravi’s mistake who decided this U turn. Lets, see some solid 10 reasons which we disappointed ravi’s talent.

1. Sindhooram : 1997’s Telugu, thriller, directed by Krishna Vamsi featuring Ravi Teja, Sanghavi and Brahmaji in the lead roles. Want to know the awards owned by this movie : National Film Award for Best feature film in telugu and nandi award for best feature film. The film dealt with the intricacies of Naxalism in Andhra Pradesh. You all know what will happen at box office for these kind of movies.

They may perform well , But not in a blockbuster level. Disappointment 1

2. Nee kosam : a 1999 multi award winning Telugu movie directed by debut Srinu Vaitla and Music composed by R P Patnaik. This is the first collaboration between Ravi Teja and Srinu Vaitla. The Film went on to win several Nandi Awards for the year 1999 including Rajatha Nandi, Nandi Award for Best Actress, Nandi Award for Best Actor Special Jury, Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director & Best Screenplay Writer and 5 Nandi Awards. You can understand the quality of this film by seeing these awards. But This Ravi’s acting best was an average grosser at boxoffice. 2nd Disappointment.

3. Itlu Sravani Subramanyam : 2001’s Puri Jagannadh film starring Ravi Teja, Tanu Roy, and Samrin in the main roles. This movie deals with a love story which starts at the very end of hero and heroine’s lives. It’s a unique point which no one dared to try at that time. The movie was not that commercial hit but got Ravi Teja credibility as a solo lead actor. This is the first collaboration between Ravi Teja and Puri. After this they went on to do Idiot and Amma Nanna oh Tamila ammay in consequent years. Disappointment 3

4. Avunu, Valliddaru Ishta Paddaru :  2002 ‘s comedy-Emotional film written and directed by Vamsy won many awards like Best Actress for Kalyani, Best Costume Designer for ganapathi and Nandi Awards. This musical hit did well at box office. But it has competition from chiranjeevi’s INDRA released only after a week this movie released. So Its not a blockbuster like INDRA which we all had gone mad. Disappointment 4

5. Khadgam : 2002’s classic movie directed by Krishna vamsi featuring Ravi Teja, Srikanth, Prakash Raj, Sangeetha, Sonali Bendre and Kim Sharma in the lead roles, Music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. This movie names are enough for making it a blockbuster. Guess what if the movie has a solid content. Yes it has.., Its about feelings every Indian can relate, every movie actor can relate and every police officer can relate. Lyrics penned by Sirivennela Sitaramasastri will make you go goosebumps. Yes this is a blockbuster for its allround factors but not because of ravi teja’s factor. Every year this movie telecasts two time for sure on Gemini TV (Independence day and Republic day). And everytime you watch u feel great about your country. That’s the beauty of this film. Do u guys know that this was remade in Hindi titled Insan, with Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar and Tushar Kapoor ?

6. Naa Autograph Sweet memories: 2004’s classic drama emotional film directed by S. Gopal Reddy starring Ravi Teja, Bhumika Chawla, Gopika, Mallika and

Prakash Raj. The film is a remake of the superhit Tamil film Autograph

which starred Cheran and Sneha in the lead roles. But guess what happened for this classic at theatres. Yes, it is failed to receive public’s money but not in receiving public’s hearts and awards . Raviteja more often says in his interviews that this is his favourite movie of all and he is disappointed that this movie didn’t perform well at box office. Disappointment 6

7. Bhageeratha: 2005 Telugu movie directed by cinematographer Rasool Ellore starring Ravi Teja and Shriya Saran in the lead roles received mixed to negative reviews. Yes it was not that great film which deserves a blockbuster status. But it’s also not a routine commercial cinema which is non sense. It has something to say for audience.

8. Shock : Yes this is really a shock for raviteja who is in a success streak at that time.  This 2006’s action-emotional film directed by Harish Shankar starring  Raviteja and Jyothika

produced by none other than our Ram Gopal Varma has not done well at box office making a great attempt thrown in dustbin. This movie has that pain and feelings which we didn’t felt at that time. Disappointment 8

9. Neninthe : In 2008 Puri Jagannath gave an honest portrayal (probably semi-autobiographical) of an aspiring director (or any other technician) in the Telugu film industry. He has shown the hardship faced by many in the industry, the sheer passion and love for movies. That is captured very well in the movie. A wanna be director’s struggle in the film industry. The problem he faces and how he overcomes it. Though this film failed miserably at the box office, it won three Nandi Awards-Ravi Teja as best actor, best story by Puri Jagannadh and best fight sequences by Ram-Lakshman. Disappointment 9

10. Shambo Shiva Shmabo : this 2010’s Action Drama directed by Samuthirakani  is a remake of his own successful Tamil venture Naadodigal. It stars Allari Naresh, Siva Balaji, Priyamani, and Abhinaya with Ravi Teja in the lead roles making it a rare multistarrer film after many years in telugu. This movie has unique story which deals in depth with friendship and Love. This movie is his career’s best performance. It didn’t sustained in the race between two commercial hyped movies Adhurs and Namo venkatesa whih are released on the same date. Disappointment 10.

Lets wait some time for Ravi teja to make a comeback with a good film that entertains all classes of audiences. We feel that the actor is running in the commercial race to make us feel his existence. But this Ravi teja is not Ravi teja we all are inspired of!
