I am a huge supporter of Outright.com as a benefit to the eBay and Amazon sellers I know. I just filed sales tax for 11 states tonight and without their reports I don’t’ want to think about how long it would have taken.

I just wanted to update my readers about an issue they have been dealing with lately. I do wish other websites I do business with would follow this method when they find a ‘glitch.’ sigh . .

On June 14th the glitch was discovered and a message posted within hours. Not only was it posted on the announcement page but it also showed up at the top of your eBay application page when you logged in.  Short and simple message.

We are aware of the duplicated and uncategorized PayPal Fees issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible.

On June 27th an update was posted to let us all know what was going on and keep us in the know. Love this!

You may have noticed that many of your PayPal Fees imported on or after June 13, 2012 have been duplicated in Outright and categorized as “Uncategorized.”  Here is an update and what you can expect.

We have fixed this problem for new transactions.  As of June 27 at 10:00am PST, PayPal data will not contain duplicate fee transactions.

We are now working on a fix that will retroactively correct the transactions that imported from June 13-27th.

There is no need for you to make any changes to transactions that came in as duplicates during this time period.  If you have deleted or hidden the duplicates, that’s okay. You don’t need to do anything else.  As soon as this fix is ready, we will notify you.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.  Thank you for your continued patience and support while we work through and resolve this issue.

Again on July 2 came another update ad finally today on the 14th of July a complete step-by-step solution to remove the duplicate fees. Now THIS, IMO, is the way to handle the glitches that are inevitably going to happen with tech sites.

If you’ve been affected, please go to the solutions page and make it work.
