Remember those quizzes you used to get back in the day in the likes of ‘Mizz’ Magazine? They were usually entitled things such as “Does he really like you?” or, “Which celebrity should you date?”

Well, I wanted to recreate some of the fun of these 2 minute quizzes but give it a little bit of a travel angle.

So, alongside this month’s travel link up hosted by Emma, Rebecca, Kelly and Catherine from Lux Life Blog on your travel personality, I’m giving you all the chance to find out your travel personality, as well as revealing my own at the end of the quiz.

Let me know what you got in the comments and whether you think it’s like you really are!

Ready? OK! Here’s your ten questions to determine your travel personality

1) Accommodation options often include;

a) A Four Seasons, One&Only, or similar luxury resort. It’s simply not a holiday without them

b) You’ve travelled so much you’re bound to have a friend where ever you go, so a friends sofa will see you through your trip.

c) Any unique looking boutique accommodation, but definitely not a chain.

d) Somewhere different. Maybe a tree house? Camping? Or perhaps a castle!

2) Food when travelling often involves;

a) Visiting the latest Michellin starred restaurant to pop up in the area, or somewhere with a world-renowned tasting menu

b) Your friend’s place – they’ve know how to cook up some tasty authentic cuisine

c) The restaurant around the corner that you’ve heard is something special but doesn’t contain anything too risky on the menu

d) The street food market where all the locals head to in the evening. Cheap prices and a great atmosphere.

3) Right now where would you most want to be?

a) Sitting outside your room with your own private infinity pool before heading to the spa later on for some treatments

b) At the bar with your new mates and the prospect of a fun night making long-lasting friendships ahead of you

c) The hottest hipster location, maybe doing an edgy street-art tour

d) Trekking through the Amazon in your worn in hiking boots whilst spotting monkeys swing from tree to tree.

4) Which one item must you pack?

a) Luxury swimwear and cover ups for all that time spent by the beach

b) Your mobile and with unlimited data so you can add all your new friends to Whatsapp and Facebook as you travel and keep in touch

c) Your camera, preferably a film one to get some really artsy photos with

d) It’s a toss up between hiking boots and a snorkel!

5) When travelling long-distances your means of transport is;

a) Anything over 2 hours away means a plane ride is necessary

b) Car-sharing with old friends or a tour bus to meet new ones.

c) Privately organised transport that gets you there quick but in style

d) Renting a car and planning for the ultimate road tripping adventure

Have you jotted down your answers? Time for the big reveal!

Mostly ‘a’s: Luxury Traveller

You’re a luxury lover and anything less than 4*s just doesn’t cut it for you when you’re travelling. Although you love to see the world, spending time on the beach or at the pool is very important too. Only the best, most renowned restaurants will do for you, and why travel on the road when you can take to the air?

Mostly ‘b’s: Global Socialite

You’ve probably done a year abroad, spent a year living in a foreign country, or at the very least have done some long-term travel. As a result you’ve now got friends all over the world who you can stay with whenever you want. When not staying with old friends you’re making new ones – that’s what travels all about right?

Mostly ‘c’s: Stylish Traveller

Whilst you like a bit of luxury and adventure, too much of one and not enough of the other doesn’t go down great. You like to stay in boutique hotels with unique features and try out the up and coming destinations before everyone knows about them. You like taking photos and capturing the ‘real’ parts of your destination in an arty way.

Mostly ‘d’s: The Adventurer

When it comes to travelling you want to do things that make people go ‘wow’. You want to get out to the remote places of a country and explore on your own in your own pace. You’ve always got a story of a great street food market you found, or a bizarre place you spent the night. Activities on holiday are what you love and you’re always on the go. Going back to work is more of a holiday than the trip itself!

So what did you get?

I’m sure most of us are a mixture of all four travel personalities, but there’s bound to be one that comes out on top! I’m an adventurer (if the blog name didn’t give it away). I’m always looking for adventurous activities to do whether it be hiking, kite surfing or staying with locals in their house. However, I’m also a bit of a luxury lover and I’ll quite happily spend a couple of days doing nothing with a good book and a reliable source of cocktails nearby!
