Age Limits - The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2017 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1986 and not later than 1st August, 1995.
Educational Qualifications
for IES - candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a University incorporated by of an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time
for ISS - candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.
Fee - Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad /State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card
Selection Procedure for UPSC IES / ISS - The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of interview/exam conducted by the commission.
Physical Standards - Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standard for admission to Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2017 as per Regulations given in Appendix III of the rules for the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2017 published in Gazette of India dated 16th January, 2017.
UPSC IES / ISS Exams Centers List - combined competitive examination for recruitment to Junior Time Scale of the Services will be held by the Union Public Service Commission commencing from 13rd May, 2017 in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation in the Gazette of India dated the 16th January, 2017. How to Apply - The Candidates are required to apply online only by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in Brief instructions for filling up the online Application Form have been given in Appendix-II. Detailed instructions are available on the above mentioned website. Eligible candidates can apply online to the post through the prescribed format along with other necessary documents on or before 12 February 2017.
Admit Card Download - Candidates may note that e-Admit cards will be uploaded on the Commissions web-site on 07.03.2017. The eAdmit cards will be available for downloading by the candidates till 04.04.2017. Only those candidates who would download their e-Admit Cards on or before 04.04.2017 will be allowed to appear for the IES/ISS Examination. “Candidates may note that downloading of e-Admit Cards by the candidates on the Commission’s website will not be available after 04.04.2017 and no request for issue of e-Admit Cards from the candidates under any circumstances will be entertained by the Commission after 04.04.2017. E-Admit Cards will be made available on the UPSC Website www.upsc.gov.in for downloading by the candidates with effect from 07.03.2017 till 04.04.2017 (11.59 P.M.). No physical Admit Cards will be send by post.
