The Government of Assam Department of Education (Elementary) For Siksha Mitras and Additional Siksha Mitra Board also invites notification for Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) every year. The board conducts TET exam for filling various teacher posts in various subjects. Every year 8 lacks of Candidate appears in the Assam TET examination. This year also the Board will soon announced the notification for Teacher Eligibility Test 2015

Government of Assam Department of Education For Siksha Mitras And Additional Siksha Mitra Board is going to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET-2015) exam very shortly. Interested Candidates to take Assam TET exam can apply through online where the application forms are available on the official website of Assam TET at www.ssaassam.gov.in

Educational Qualification

Candidate must have minimum academic and professional qualification as follows

Senior/ Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

(2)

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks with 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks with 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

(4)

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks with 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

Graduation from any UGC recognised University and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (irrespective of marks obtained in graduation). With regard to candidates having graduation degree, the minimum percentage of marks specified above at + 2 stage Senior secondary /higher Secondary will not be required.

Educational Qualification

Graduate teacher has been prescribed as BA / B.Sc / B.Com with 50% marks with B.T./ B.Ed. degree from any recognized university.

Hindi Teacher

Pravin / Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized university or B.A with Hindi as one of the subject with 50% marks and B.T / B. Ed. degree from any recognized University.

Classical Teacher (Sanskrit)

Shastri with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized University or B.A with Sanskrit as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

Classical Teacher such as Arabic, Urdu, Persian etc

MM with 50% marks with degree qualification from any recognized University or B.A with Arabic as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T./B.Ed. from any recognized University.

Classical Teacher (Assamese Language, Manipuri Language)

B.A with Honours/ Major in concerned subject with 50% marks and B.T. / B.Ed. degree from any recognized University.

Eligibility Conditions for Post Graduate Teachers in Secondary/ Senior Secondary Schools

The Candidate must be a Citizen of India

Age of the candidate should not be above 38 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Age relaxation is applicable as per govt. Office Memorandum as applicable.

Candidate must have minimum 50% marks in Masters Degree in Arts/Science/ Commerce from a recognized University with BT/B.Ed. Please note that 50% marks means 50% marks and no rounding off will be considered. No Degree other than M.A/M.Sc /M.Com will be considered

Educational Qualification

The Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised) Service (Amendment) Rules, has prescribed the following qualification for direct recruitment to the post of Post graduate teachers

The candidates must have Masters degree (MA/M.Sc./M.Com) with minimum 50% marks in relevant subject with B.T./B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

(2)

However all intending candidates may note that B.T / B. Ed. Degree as a mandatory prerequisite eligibility qualification for Higher Secondary teachers stands relaxed up to 01-01-2015 in accordance with the Government Office Memorandum No ASE.324/2009/138 Dated 13th September 2012 issued by the Government of Assam in Secondary Education Department and accordingly candidates who do not possess B.T / B. Ed. Degree may also appear in the TET for Higher Secondary Education and participate in the interview if they come successfully in the Teachers’ Eligibility Test.

After successful submission of filled-up form, candidate can take print out of fee format

After taking printout of fee format, candidate has to pay the examination fee @ 500/- (Five hundred) in nearest branch of State Bank of India. After receiving the payment, Bank will give “Transaction Id” as confirmation of payment and examination fee deposited format will be accepted at respective SSA District Mission Office

Assam TET 2015 Important Points

(1)

The Test will be only for Paper-I (Lower Primary) only

Candidates intending to appear in TET will have to submit the non-refundable examination fee of Rs. 500/- by generating e-challan

(3)

Appearing/qualifying in Teachers’ Eligibility Test will not confer the right to claim for appointment/engagement for any post of teacher. Teacher recruitment in government or private schools will be a separate process to be conducted as and when vacancy arises

(4)

All candidates desirous of appearing in TET should note that in case of their engagement as teacher, subject to vacancies and teacher recruitment process, will entail posting in remote rural areas including char, reverine and hilly areas, anywhere in the state of Assam. Further, no special consideration will be granted in respect of posting of female candidates

Candidates have to give an undertaking regarding agreement with terms and condition as laid down in this advertisement and that all his/ her submission are true. Submission of false information will lead to cancellation of candidature

There will be no negative marking for any wrong answer.

Candidates must pay the examination fee through the SBI branches only. No booking charge /postage fee will be levied upon the candidates

In case of differently able persons, only orthopaedically handicapped persons/ persons with loco-motor impairment (with 40 % and above degree of disability) will be eligible for appearing in Teacher Eligibility Test

Examination will be organised in 1 Centre only, viz. Guwahati.
