California, United States – Sunrise Brands has selected Centric Software, Inc., for its product life cycle management (PLM) software.

Los Angeles-based Sunrise Brands designs, produces and distributes private-label and branded apparel for more than 30 retailers, including Chico’s, Express, Macy’s, Ross, New York and Company, Cache, Kohl’s, Lane Bryant, K-Mart, Hot Topic, Torrid and Wal-Mart. All design, development and planning teams, as well as Sunrise Brands’ overseas offices, will use the Centric 8 solution.

Centric 8 PLM software for retail, apparel, footwear, luxury and consumer goods companies replaces a product data management (PDM) system at Sunrise Brands. Ease of use, user adoption and extensive functionality were key criteria in Sunrise Brands’ selection of the Centric PLM solution. The company was searching for a solution that could handle the full spectrum of product development, from design to purchase orders, and meet the needs of its users, says Maria Fajardo, information technology manager at Sunrise Brands.

“Based on the feedback from employees, Sunrise Brands decided to go with the company that presented a product they – the users – felt best served their needs,” Fajardo states. “And that was Centric.”

Fajardo also cites the Sunrise Brands design team’s excitement about several of the Centric mobile apps it will implement. Centric was the first to market with mobile apps for PLM. The company has introduced six apps to date, more than any other PLM provider in the industry.

“Centric 8 PLM will give Sunrise Brands the visibility and flexibility it needs to continue growing its private-label business aggressively,” says Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric. “Centric’s innovative industry leadership, with Sunrise Brands’ design and supply chain strength, is a winning partnership.”
