“We offer around 950 suppliers from 35 countries an ideal platform for the presentation of a total of 1,500 collections, ”states MUNICH FABRIC START Managing Director Wolfgang Klinder. “We see the compilation of this selective portfolio as one of our most important responsibilities, which enables us to serve the demands of the market and the most important segments in the currently best possible manner.”

The innovations in the denim and sportswear sectors will be presented on 2 and 3 September in the BLUEZONE in the neighbouring Zenith Halle, which is entirely sold out once again. Among the roughly 75 international weaving mills, finishers and laundries, there are several new participants, such as US Group, Denimco, Sartex and others. Simultaneously, BLUEZONE is experiencing a stronger demand and a desire for increased stand and presentation area which confirms this presentation date as an important event in the denim community‘s international trade fair calendar.

FASHION IN A DANCE BETWEEN CLARITY AND COMPLEXITY

With EXTRAandORDINARY, the coming season unites the usual with the unusual. After several extremely varied and expressive fashion seasons, the flood of creativity around styles, colours, cuts, themes, and their combination, is settling down somewhat. Visions and inspirations are coming increasingly from a space of clarity. None the less, the fashion landscape is still quite complex – the combination of individual elements remains decisive for a trendy look. Oversize, skin and fur, 3-dimensionality and patching are the progressive set screws on today’s fashion pulse.

BLUEZONE will be carrying the slogan “RACE and ZEN” – two life philosophies collide here to create a composition of contradictions that will serve as a stage for the presentation of the stylish and trendy range of denims and flats forthe 2015/2016 Autumn/Winter season. The tendencies here come from two directions: one is more technical and functional, featuring jeans with woven-in Kevlar and integrated protectors, while the other is more meditative, OM oriented and peaceful.

The Autumn.Winter 15/16 trends will be presented in the elaborately arranged Trend and Sample Areas, and in the Colour Forum in the foyer. We work to identify the essences from approximately 10,000 fabric submissions for this bundled information.

“Anyone who Wears Fashion can also Wear Responsibility”– Paths to Responsible Textile Sourcing

Remei AG & bluesign technologies ag Sourcing of textile products is increasingly becoming a strategy-relevant challenge. Growing public interest hascreated a climate in which environmental and social exploitation in production nations represent a risk insideof a company’s own supply chain. The topic is complex: Where do the largest challenges in sustainability andcompliance management lie in an unclear textile production chain? How can a purchasing company fulfil itsresponsibility? Is sustainable sourcing really more expensive than conventional sourcing? Or can it even provideadded value for the company’s own sustainability performance? The two companies Remei and bluesigntechnologies provide answers to these questions in a collaborative workshop.
