Free vaccines and entertainment for children at 3 local schools

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Houston – Just in time for the new school year, Congressman Gene Green invites media and members of the community to his upcoming 18th Annual Immunization Day where free vaccines will be provided to school-age children.  The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Davila Elementary, Galena Park High School and Herrera Elementary.

Congressman Green will hold a press conference at Davila Elementary at 10:00 a.m.

The Davila Elementary location will also feature fun guests, activities and prizes.  Houston Dynamo Charities will bring the team mascot, Yellow Cab Greater Houston will have an antique yellow cab for children to explore, and Rotary International will give out school supplies (while supplies last).

In addition, hosts from KRBE will be broadcasting live, playing music and giving prizes to promote the event and Comcast’s Internet Essentials Program.  Comcast’s program aims to close the digital divide by providing economically disadvantaged families with low cost internet access to children beyond the school day
