Each of these is more than just your average cookbook. They’re the best place to begin for great information and delicious recipes to encourage a healthier way of life.

CLEAN FOOD: A SEASONAL GUIDE TO EATING CLOSE TO THE SOURCE by Terry Walters You know when you read a good book and you find yourself nodding perpetually? Or is that just me? This book is beautiful, extremely well written, and the recipes are easy to follow and use delicious ingredients (also very simple)!

RAW, QUICK, AND DELICIOUS!: 5-INGREDIENT RECIPES IN JUST 15 MINUTES by Doug McNish 175 quick, easy, and creative raw recipes that can be prepared and on the table in 15 minutes or less. Doug’s delicious recipes are perfect for anyone new to raw food and raw food enthusiasts alike.

VEGAN EVERYDAY: by Doug McNish Whether you are vegan, or you just want to incorporate more delicious, plant-based meals into your life and kitchen, award-winning vegan Chef Doug McNish has packed 500 (yes, 500!) recipes in this cookbook. I love all of the tips and tricks, and alternatives that Doug shares throughout the book – as valuable as the recipes themselves. Vegan Everyday is a resource that every kitchen should have, and that everyone should read.

EAT CLEAN LIVE WELL by Terry Walters In her third cookbook, Terry Walters once again delivers super simple, incredible tasting, plant based recipes that work with the season we’re living in. As well, as with all of her books, she gives us approachable, healthful, and nutritious information that satisfies our craving for easy, real, clean food.

CHEZ PANISSE VEGETABLES by Alice Waters Cooks, gardeners, vegetarians and everyone who appreciates good food will love this resource. Arranged alphabetically by vegetable, and filled with colourful images (everything is better with beautiful pictures!), Chez Panisse Vegetables makes it easy for a cook to find a tempting recipe for whatever he or she has brought home from the market.

EAT RAW, EAT WELL by Doug McNish We can’t imagine a healthier (un)cookbook by a better chef (and person). A delicious raw meal is easier to prepare than you think. With 400 raw, vegan, and gluten-free recipes, healthy food has never been so inspired and tasteful!

OH SHE GLOWS COOKBOOK by Angela Liddon Whether you are vegan, vegan-curious, or you simply want to eat delicious food that just happens to be healthy, this cookbook is a must-have for anyone who longs to eat well, feel great, and simply glow. Easy recipes that work, and the entire family will love – including guests that don’t typically eat plant-based, healthful meals.

THUG KITCHEN: EAT LIKE YOU GIVE A F*CK by Matt Holloway + Michelle Davis  Thug Kitchen inspires people to eat some Goddamn vegetables and adopt a healthier lifestyle. This book is an invitation to everyone who wants to do better to elevate their kitchen game. No more ketchup and pizza counting as vegetables. No more drive-thru lines. No more avoiding the produce corner of the supermarket. This cookbook is about as entertaining as it is inspiring and informative. My kids have never been more excited by a cookbook (you can judge my parenting anytime!), but if you don’t want your kids reading about how to “stir sh*t up” and to not “give a f*uck” along with prepping cauliflower and make gluten-free pancakes, skip this one! I think it’s also a great gift for kids off to college – it’s written to appeal to many!

EATERNITY by Jason Wrobel We’re loving cooking our way through this fun, accessible cookbook (it comes with a nutritional guide and teaches readers the principles of plant-based holistic nutrition). Ever want to learn which of the foods you eat contain active ingredients that support your health? Wrobel is a vegan chef and wellness expert with answers to all your questions.
