OH LITTLE ONE
Oh little one
You are the one
Let me see you crawl
Let me not miss a fall
Talk to me please
Say mommy
Take your first steps to see
Show mommy how big you can be
I will walk you to school
Now remember the golden rule
Your first scratch on knee
Brings tears for me to see
You want to date I do not think
I have to be stern and take no stink
You have something to tell you say
Oh not it shouldn’t happen this way
Oh look at his fingers and toes
And look at that cute little nose
Precious memories I hold near me
As I bounce him on my knee
Remember all your mama speaks
She wants you strong and not too weak
I have enjoyed my life with you
As I see God has something for me to do
And now I must lay my head down to rest
Remember you are all the best.
