Ah, fresh make-up! Is there anything better than the sight of clean, fresh, make-up! Although I have to say, it doesn’t look this neat anymore now that I’ve used it!...

Lily Lolo (shop link) is a minerals cosmetics company you may not be familiar with but they are celebrating their 10th birthday this year! Lily Lolo have recently been through a brand refresh and although I really liked their branding before, I love it even more now. It’s surprising what a small change can do! The new branding is a lot stronger and slicker. For anyone who’s interested in what it used to be like, you can see it in my review of their eyeshadow quad palette.

Lily Lolo is a British brand that offer high quality mineral make-up. They stay clear of harsh chemicals, are parabens-free, do not test on animals and 95% of their products are vegan friendly (they state which ones are not on their FAQs).

I’ve used a few things from Lily Lolo in the past couple of years and can confirm that they quality, pigments and lasting power is high. Y’know, there’s nothing worse than using make-up that’s weak and comes out off within an hour - waste of effort - but every Lily Lolo make-up product I’ve used has been impressive.

LILY LOLO MAKE-UP

The lipstick (£8.99, shop link) is in shade Intense Crush which is a pretty peachy pink, it’s a beautifully natural colour on me - so not as intense as the name suggests, and if you’re not very daring with lipstick, I would recommend this. It put a bit of colour back on your lips and gives a complete finishing touch to a subtle day time look. The finish is a semi-matte and the  formula is very creamy, non-sticky and moisturising to wear. There are currently 13 different shades available.

Now that it’s Autumn, I’ve replaced my bright pink NARS blusher for a deeper rose pink. Lily Lolo’s Coming Up Roses (£9.99, shop link) is a nice transition from summer to autumn, with a touch of purple in it. It’s not as dark as it looks but as it has a good amount of pigment, the colour is buildable. It’s a matte powder so it has no shimmer or shine in it's finish.

We’re all about the eyebrows these days, right?! I can’t prise myself away from my HD Brow palette but I am most definitely open to trying new brow products like this duo kit (£7.99, shop link). I picked it in the Medium shade but I really should have gone for the Dark. As it’s not the right shade for me (was totally my fault), I haven’t been able to get the most out of it - but basically, the duo palette contains a pressed powder to fill in your brows and a gel to hold and set them in place. It doesn't come with a brush but it is cute and compact.

You can buy Lily Lolo products on their website, feast your eyes on their lovely collection. You get free delivery on all UK orders over £50.
