Departed Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa is fondly called as Amma by millions of her die-hard fans. In what can be described as heights of love for his beloved Amma, a fan got married at Jayalalithaa’s grave at Merina Beach in Chennai.
On Wednesday morning, Jayaa’s ardent fan and AIADMK youth wing leader from Kolathur area in Chennai named Francis exchanged garland with his wife Rezila Preethi in the presence of party leaders, family members and friends.
Apparently, Francis sent his wedding card to Jayalalithaa a few months ago and got a reply from her office saying that Amma will surely attend his wedding.
Heartbroken with Amma’s sudden demise, Francis decided wed at Amma’s grave and the his friends and family members supported his decision. Guests at Francis’ wedding offered them flower petals taken from Jayaa’s Samadhi as Amma’s blessings.
